It basically is. The old trophy looked more like the wv trophy. They wanted to simplify and standardize the trophies. Now all sports get the same basic trophy.

The WV trophy looks like what Ohio teams receive for winning a district or regional title.

Honestly, it's a rather 'common' trophy. Wood base, wood panel standing up, with a little figure on a pedestal representing the sport. But as someone said... it breaks very easily. One thing the PA or NY trophy won't do is break. Unless you want to break it.

Anyone who has ever won a title will tell ya the actual hardware means nothing, it's the pride and memory that lasts forever.

As someone who has won a state title in football, the rings mean the most.
