Yeah. This form is unreal. Definitely need to have a lawyer to walk you through. It’s a bunch of lawyer language!Looking at that form it looks like the lawyer is needed before you transfer to help with the form.

Copley instigated the CRIMINAL PROSECUTION which resulted in JAIL TIME for a mother who said her child was living with grandparents in the Copley-Fairlawn district.Copley has sued families for that in the past.
Not when it comes to Massillon.IMHO, once people take a look at what OHSAA requires to approve a transfer, they will a) become a little more sympathetic to issues that arise during the process, and b) become a little more put out by OHSAA's authoritarian impulses.
I remember that. A little ruthless. Don’t mess with the Copley School District.Copley instigated the CRIMINAL PROSECUTION which resulted in JAIL TIME for a mother who said her child was living with grandparents in the Copley-Fairlawn district.
Mother and her father were found guilty. This isn't the wild, wild west, schools have enough of a hard time with funding. If they would have allowed that where would it end?Copley instigated the CRIMINAL PROSECUTION which resulted in JAIL TIME for a mother who said her child was living with grandparents in the Copley-Fairlawn district.
Alex, All of the above for $100Owens transferred to Massillon in February. It is almost October. Perhaps OHSAA could be more forthcoming about why the paperwork still hasn't been reviewed and ruled upon. Was it not submitted in a timely manner? Is it somehow inadequate? Is OHSAA that inefficient? Is OHSAA incompetent? Or would this be deliberate?
It may have something to do with Massillon being a repeat offender. I have no dislike for Massillon but their name is mentioned a lot for possible violations during football season. The amount of loopholes that schools all across the state take advantage of and this is the one they come after because it’s massilon? The fact that this is being looked into more than glenville using a loop hole to have a 0 CB is absurd. Let the kid play and move on. This should have been closed before the season started

Gotta be Misney. You know what he does.As he should have. And I bet I know which lawyer they have retained.
Wasn't Mumford looked at, didn't the Beachwood kids sit a game? Actually not sure just asking?Fwiw Massillon has not been mentioned for any possible violation. Unless you mean by trolls then yes.
In any case that justifies finding some technicality (and that form is ridiculous) to punish a senior vying for college by ending his season? Ok that'll show 'em.

Not wanting to rehash but stating it has come up before and not just by trolls? Not going to rehash the Mumford Moore personal relationship but Beachwood case is actually similar. Somebody complained a year after the fact so they sat while OHSAA re-reviewed their transfer paperwork. Everything checked out and they finished the season.
Not when it comes to Massillon.
Going to go with no on this. Would virtually guarantee it will be/is Plakas. I am sure the OHSAA hates seeing him or hearing his name.Gotta be Misney. You know what he does.
But....but....but....his nephew
Speculation leads to more misinformation than fact.I think there may be a bigger issue then the paperwork for the transfer....this is just what I am thinking could be the issue...he was living in Akron all along...gave Copley a bad address...because he was on the football team, Copley didn't do a thorough investigation...now here is where it gets sticky ( I also could be wrong) Copley received state funds for a kid that didn't belong to them...should have went to Akron...the transfer investigation tripped this....so who is at fault and who does Copley have to pay back...if the kid lied about his address to Copley...who is at fault..Copley or the kid...transfers to Massillon...is there a possible eligibility issue to the fact that he played at a school and should not have and now he is playing at another school when he may have screwed his eligibility up while at Copley without a valid residency.....As said earlier Copley is non open enrollment and they do not accept tuition....is there solid verification that he and his family were living in Akron and not Copley? If they have solid info that they were living in Copley then my theory is not valid...I have heard that the kid in question has retained a lawyer
Have to add this as an edit...is there any info that Moore as the AD knew this info about residency concerns with Copley and Akron...( once again if there is residency concerns...I am just surmising some of this)..and may have slow played the transfer paperwork
No. The OHSAA doesn’t want people moving just for athletics. The phrase they use is “the move precipitates the transfer, the transfer should not precipitate the move.”13. I am not attempting to establish residence at the current resident address in order to avoid paying tuition to attend the public school to which the current resident address is assigned, nor am I attempting to establish residence at the current resident address in order to circumvent any of the Bylaws or rules of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. ______ (Initials of Affiant)
Also someone please explain this one. This is forbidden? I thought that's what they wanted? Am I misunderstanding???
Massillon football passes across the desks of OHSAA fairly regular. Doesn't mean they have been found of violations but the talk is there regularly.Fwiw Massillon has not been mentioned for any possible violation. Unless you mean by trolls then yes.

Hmmm just as we suspected….Massillon is targeted regularly by the OHSAA even though they almost never find any evidence of any wrongdoing.Massillon football passes across the desks of OHSAA fairly regular. Doesn't mean they have been found of violations but the talk is there regularly.
Part of the problem stems from people worrying about things that aren’t their business.Hmmm just as we suspected….Massillon is targeted regularly by the OHSAA even though they almost never find any evidence of any wrongdoing.
What OHSAA wants is not relevant; they have no moral authority to stand in judgement of why and where a family moves or educates its children. At some point, they're going to push their authoritarian impulses too far.No. The OHSAA doesn’t want people moving just for athletics. Didnt see anybody in street clothes at Bump Taylor field on Friday unlike other schools both private and public alikeThe amount of loopholes that schools all across the state take advantage of and this is the one they come after because it’s massilon?
