Ohio State Recruiting

With 2025 mostly wrapped up, seems like 2026 is starting to heat up. In addition to the Harris twins, Micah Smith a top 10 IOL and top 106 recruit from FL, Bralan Womack a 5* and #2 safety/#24 overall from Mississippi and Deuce Geralds a top 10 DL and top 100 recruit from Georgia all received predictions to OSU.

Alex Gleitman thinks OSU has a good chance with former NFL player Thomas Davis’ son, Thomas Davis Jr. A top 10 lb and top 125 overall recruit from Weddington, NC he is related to and plays with this Harris twins.

Offord being predicted to flip to Auburn by Tom Loy. Not surprising, I made it very clear when he “committed” that I didn’t really consider him committed. Pretty weak by Ryan to accept the commitment at the time.

I’m sure you’ll get a tingle down your leg if that happens. Idiot

You’re such a POS clown. If you don’t understand at this point that I’m an OSU fan then you just cannot be helped. I just have 0 issue calling the program out on their many failures and saying the quiet parts out loud. Opposite of a softy like you.

So he’s not suppose to accept commitments now? If he did that you would be on here complaining about that.

No I wouldn’t and yes he shouldn’t accept commitments from players this highly ranked in the heart of the south that early.

They rarely workout in OSUs favor. Just tell them that he will accept their signature on NSD and if it doesn’t workout then call them out for their flakey behavior.

They almost never get these types of kids if they don’t get a commitment relatively early. The historical track record with out of state/out of region high profile recruits is not very good. They have next to no shot if they don’t get an early commitment and work to hang on.

Ok I get your schtick now. Bitch about not getting kids from the south and bitch about getting kids from the south too early. Got it

Did you relay your concerns to the OSU athletic dept?

I’m talking ever. All you ever do is complain, complain, complain, and find a way to complain some more. You can call yourself a fan all you want, but nobody on here will ever acknowledge you as one
So rather than acknowledge that you’re wrong you go for the emotional response and just go to bit**ing about me complaining. Shows you’ve lost whatever argument you were trying to conjure.

What the heck am I wrong about? Do you honestly think you don’t come on here and complain all the time? If not, then you are seriously delusional and need professional help

You’re wrong about OSU “getting kids” from the south too early. Nobody can be counted as “in” until signed.

I’ve been skeptical about holding onto Offord since the day he surprisingly verbally committed to OSU. I still don’t believe he’ll ever be a Buckeye, but I would really hate to lose him to Oregon. I’ve always figured he stays home and is just waiting to see how DeBoer does with Bama this year. If he doesn’t Roll Tide than he’ll likely get a cash bomb from Hugh Freeze. If leaves the state at all it would be for UGA, Tennessee or Ole Piss. All of whom are writing large checks these days.
Looks like Hugh Freeze has a bag of cash to give. This kid was never coming to OSU.

Jeramiah Smith committed almost a year before signing day, OSU should have never accepted his verbal commitment LOL.

Big difference is Smith is from Miami. Florida, technically in the south, but culturally different than the south. Especially Miami. I don’t agree with Spartacus’ take on not accepting the commitment, but two different situations here.

Can't get much farther south in fact almost tropical. I am not into the culture thing when it comes to football (Birmingham Ala. where Offord is from) is liberal not conservative similar to Columbus in that regard and I think culturally bigger difference between Miami and Columbus than Birmingham and Columbus. More importantly big difference in weather. I mean most people don't move south for the culture they do so for the weather.

Edit: Most recruits I don't think care about the culture of a city if they did they would never go to red neck Tuscaloosa.
If Offord does flip, I doubt it has anything to do with culture and everything with NIL.
