Not that it matters much, but Bo Jackson reportedly looked good today during student Day Appreciation scrimmage. FWIW Kienholz reportedly outperformed Sayin. I am going to go on a limb and say don't sleep on TSC moves well in the pocket and has a gun for an arm. Again, though just a scrimmage.

Edit: Interesting in this day of protecting the QB, Day allowed for live fire, let the defense hit the QB.

Nope, I’m still enjoying the national title. I’ll worry about next season at the end of august
 
Zone 6 unsurprisingly seems to be in good hands for the next few years. Both Phillip Bell and Quincy Porter, true freshmen on campus for all of 3 months, made a few plays.

Also seems like we should expect little drop off should Payton Pierce come on the field for Sonny or Reese. Teammates and coaches have been singing his praises this winter and he showed out yesterday.
 
Day met with the media today and says:
-Siereveld is at the point he could start at guard or tackle.
-LB Pierce will make a big impact in 2025
-Re-emphasizes the need for the DTs to step up
-Usual Day-coach speak on the QB competition
 
Initial thoughts on the roster/game

QB - Deepest room the program has arguably ever had (that doesn’t mean most talented). The most talented guy (TSC) is # 3 on the depth chart

WR - Best room in the nation. Nothing else needs to be said. Size, speed, length. Has everything you would want in an NFL room much less college room.

OL - Best line in regards to depth the program has had in awhile. Strong, big, athletic. Ethan Onianwa is a man amongst boys

RB - Solid, not great but very solid.

TE - very, very solid. There isn’t a super star but a lot of guys that can play.

DL - biggest weakness on the team. Not alot of size or depth. Were absolutely getting mauled at times today. Need another 320 lb nose tackle in the worst way possible. Kayden McDonald cannot be the only one on the roster

LB - Hard to really say with how bad the DL got obliterated and were put in bad spots a lot of times.

Secondary - looks very good. Aaron Scott doesn’t need to be playing. Outside of one play he was burnt toast every time. Want more Bryce West.

It is likely only unsettled publicly. I'm sure Day has his favorite. Smart to play it close to the vest, let all 3 guys keep working hard and improving, and keep them out of the portal.

Yeah, Sayin apparently had a strong spring game performance . Saying versus Kienholz is a good problem to have.

Apparently the story from spring practice was coaching concern over the DL, with Day saying they will be seeking help in the spring transfer portal.

Also an upgrade at OL coach and DC.
