I think Underwood made a great decision to reject the dysfunction at LSU. Brian Kelly has some weird voodoo going on down there.
The question is whether he has placed himself into a place where some developing dysfunction is happening. Until the consequences of the sign stealing stuff are known, players are going to be unsure about what that program can be.
But if the culture remains strong there, and TTUN is able to continue to bring in the players it needs, they will be OK. But I looked at them whiffing on the 2 OL guys they targeted who went to Indiana and Nebraska, and it made me wonder if that is an example of the players not being sure of what the cost will be for 6 level 1 violations. But the NCAA has become a toothless tiger, so maybe TTUN will escape the worst case scenario.
But I'm getting the sense that TTUN is going to be where the NCAA re-asserts it's enforcement authority. After all, if it doesn't, it might as well cease to exist.
But Underwood can be the home state kid that leads the premier state school back to glory, and he will make a lot of money just based on that potential. The question will be if he will have enough dudes around him to do that. If the penalties are severe and announced before May, the next portal will be brutal for them - and him.
