Tournament was very well ran. Elders B team kid at 135 is really solid, hard to believe he is not Varsity almost anywhere. Did anyone else have a problem with some of the Walton kids "unsportsmanlike" behavior?

I didn't notice any bad behavior, and we sat right next to them. They were polite--even asked if they were blocking our view once when they stood up to cheer on a teammate.

I don't know about 135 in particular, but several Elder B guys wrestle behind State Qualifiers and/or State Placers from last year. You can be pretty good, and end up being a B team wrestler.

Not to mention the fact that they are probably practicing with the SQ/SP starters every day. Practice partners make all the difference in the world.

when I refered to unsportsman like conduct I was talking about things like shoves as the wrestler wre going out of bounds or forearms from the top positin and things of this nature that seemed " a bit uncalled for" but maybe no one else took exception to it

If that behavior is exhibited, the best answer is to return to the mat and calmly pin your opponent.....

First....glad things went smooth. Nearly all of the Elder kids spend time on the B squad because of the depth of the program. I have run this tournament 3 out of the last 4 years and saw the likes of Orlando Scales, who went on to 2 undefeated seasons as well as the majority of the kids on Varsity this season.

As far as the Walton kids.....didnt see it and wouldnt expect it. I know the entire coaching staff and they are a class act. Coach Barnes would not tolerate that type of sportsmanship.
