Northwest Ohio Realignment

Yeah you’re right not beating everybody like they thought they would. So I see no reasoning behind some of the people wanting to leave the BVC? Woodmore isn’t much. Enter than Vanlue these days lol

Mostly just a joke, just a couple years ago they were making deep playoff runs, just a bad cycle!

They're in a weird spot between the NBC, SBC, and BVC and I think they fit fine in the BVC. NBC kinda outgrew them bringing in Maumee and there's no reason to want the travel in the SBC knowing it's a ticking time bomb. Van Buren and McComb in particular should grow into fun series and there's still 3 non league games to schedule former rivals

The NBC definitely out grew them especially in football but most of the other sports they competed fairly well.So that does suck losing the Rivalry they had for many years but, time to make new ones with Leipsic McComb Van Buren The SBC should definitely be a NO GO!!!!

To be fair I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish last season with their style. Basically tried rolling with the Kenton offense, problem was those WR's played DB on defense. Those kids were winded by the 3rd quarter
How is Elmwood looking for next few years?

Same offense Bishop ran the entire time at Elmwood and was regional runner up in 22.

Their head coach left for North Baltimore, if that tells you anything..
Being new to the BVC, i have no idea who were seniors, juniors etc last ear, but Elmwood had some decent size last year. Unless they all graduated, I am surprised to hear that they will be worse this year. And the coach leaving for NB? Huh?

Its not uncommon for coaches to want to move up in competition to see if they have what it takes.
While I agree with the general thought that is not what's happening here, imo. The Northwest Central Conference is not an upgrade from the BVC. That being said, I was happy to see Ridgemont have a good year. Ada's move to the BVC resulted in a solid year although it would have been cool to see them play Fort Loramie and LCC. I like the direction Ada is heading in.

I read his post as sarcasm, I think everyone in the area would say the NWCC is a step down from probably every other league around lol.

I thought he was being serious, my bad. I'm still glad that Ada is still on the upswing and Ridgemont had a great year. USV struggled for a long time and they've had some really good kids and decent teams since leaving the NWC so the NWCC has been good for several schools that made the jump.

It's definitely a great thing for the purpose it serves! I know Perry, USV, and HN likely wouldn't have football period these days without it. Ridgemont and Waynesfield could never expect to truly compete against other local teams, CR and NB were terrible in the BVC. It's great for those small, like minded schools to have a place to be able to be competitive and field teams.

And it sets up for a 15 seed to beat a 2 seed in the play-offs.

I said that last year during the season, that I wish Ada was playing in the NWC. I really believe Ada would have stayed with anyone in the NWC last year but CG & Bluffton (Though I do thik they could have gave Bluffton a good game.) I did not think that in the beginning of the season but as I watched, they made a believer out of me. This year, I just hope they don't take a step back as they do lose some key players (Green at QB for one). They do return some very key talented players so we will see. The kids have bought in on Coach Smiths system and are playing good ball, Just not sure they are at the place to plug and play when they lose seniors
