Nhl 2013-2014

 
I'm going to the Canadiens/Jackets game on November 15. Should be awesome. It will be the first sporting event where I buy a beer, and it will be a Molson Canadian. :)

Habs played ok tonight until the 3rd, then gave up a SH goal, Parros got hurt, and the air was out of the building. Gave up way too many chances to Toronto, you can't expect Price to play great when he is constantly under pressure. Need to get a W on Saturday before going on a long road trip
 
I'm excited about the season. Finally, we are in the EAST and more games against our natural rivals Toronto!!!!!

Nice win to start the season 2-1 over Buffalo. I'm gonna have to learn about these Eastern Teams.
 
Big win for the Jackets tonight. Would have sucked to have to wait 5 days for another game after having gone 0-2 to start the season.

Ovechkin is starting the season nicely, with 4 goals and 2 assists in three games.
 
Teemu Selanne returns to Winnipeg tonight 17 years later, for the final time. Definitely going to be watching that one
 
Not a whole lot Laviolette could have done with that roster, Philly sucks. He is a good coach, won the Cup in Carolina and took Philly out of nowhere to another Cup run. He will find work quickly in Winnipeg, Minnesota, Calgary, Buffalo, NJ etc
 
This is a case of the coach taking the fall for what Homer has done to that team.

Bryzgalov, Buying out Bryzgalov and Briere, signing Lecavalier, JvR for Schenn, basically supply the Cup to the Kings.

Homer's days have to be numbered.
 
The Jackets play in Montreal tomorrow night. Habs are coming off a very good 3-1 road trip but they lost Pacioretty last night and he should be out for a while which sucks. He is their only good big winger. Douglas Murray, Parros, and Drewiske are all on IR as well. Not good

Blue Jackets outplayed the Habs tonight. Dominated the last two periods and won like 70% of faceoffs. That is Montreal's biggest weakness so far, can't wait until they face Bergeron and Boston

Anyway they are 4-2, great start. They continue to score despite the injuries. Would be nice to acquire another big forward sometime. Play Nashville at home Saturday night, I expect Budaj to get his first start in that one.
 
Pens are off to a great start, 6-1-0. Excited to go to the game tomorrow. Pens/ Nucks is usually a pretty good contest.
 
I watched the 30 for 30 on John Spano and the Islanders last night. Can't believe that guy had the balls to do something like that, and that the NHL was so trusting of him. Nice to see ESPN do a show about hockey for once.
