NFL "Moneyball"

What if it's Emmitt Smith 2.0?

Then as long as you surround him with one of the greatest OLs ever, an outstanding FB, some good TEs, a pretty good QB with one of the greatest WRs ever to throw to, and a strong defense to make stops and get your offense the ball back with the lead often, then it should work out pretty well.

I'm never drafting CBs high. Not ever. If your front seven is good and you have solid safeties, your defense is set.

You could pretty much say that about any position group on the defensive side of the ball. Obviously if 9 out of the 11 players are solid to good, you're going to be in pretty good shape.

There is not one way to win. I have seen teams win with a great RB, or QB, or WRs, or LBs, D-line, CBs, etc all win ... just get as many good players as you can and see what happens. Good teams pick good players - regardless of position, poor teams try to pick players based on position. Championship are won by good teams.

Exactly. The reason teams like the Ravens, Patriots, and Steelers are always good is because they draft the best player on the board instead of reaching for a position they need.
