I agree, I was thinking of a GCC more along the lines with Heights, Shaker, Euclid, Brush, Bedford, Lorain and etc. I don’t see them wanting to try and take on Mentor, Brunswick and Strongsville in all sports.
GCC has added Lorain, Heights and Shaker in the past 3 years. LEL 2.0 transformation is literally already happening whether you like it or not. It's also not about Parma being good or not because every administration is obsessed with enrollment numbers. No one is acting like league movement is rare. We are literally just throwing out hypothesis. It's also literally an open secret what Strongsville and Brunswick want to do. The GCC wasn't Riverside first choice either. The GCC just doesn't seem fit to last as is. Simple. Lastly whoever the hell said the LEL was stable needs to share what dispensary they shop at. Bedford been looking for any other league for a decade

Fair. Definitely still solid and I think this will be status quo for at least the next 3-5 years at the bare minimum. I don't see the scenario I'm talking about taking place for a while
Yeah, I don’t think they will be joining the SWC soon either. They do need someone to leave the league. And there is nothing to indicate that Amherst and Midview are unhappy and looking to leave. So it’s all just what ifs now. But with a lot of the SWC communities growing, I think Brunswick and Strongsville would be great fits in the league. I think earlier in this thread someone posted a tweet saying that the two schools at one point had the votes to join.. looks like they missed their chance for now.

At least you can recognize that adding the 2 biggest schools from the lel isn't the same as adding all the smaller lel schools like before
For the longest time The original LEL worked and was very stable. My older brother went to Bedford. The LEL at the peak of its powers was a phenomenal basketball league. My brothers sophomore year Bedford and Warrensville played for state titles. Bedford vs Warrensville/Shaw used to be standing room only. You could barely hear yourself think in Warrensville small gym because it was so loud in there. RIP to the LELDang…. Finding new ways to call me stupid

in it’s prime there wasn’t many better basketball conferences in the state. I hope these schools still play each other in non-con games, and for their student-athletes sakes I hope they all figure out their next moves.Yep league had a mini Renaissance on the hoops side from about 2016-2020. I have hope for a good number of now former LEL programs though so that's good. Maple football, Warrensville/Bedford basketball, obviously Garfield in hoops but the have hope with Stephens as HC for football now too. Agree, I think in the next couple of years, you will see Copley, Revere, and Barberton leave the Suburban American division and Nordonia, Brecksville, and Twinsburg moving down to the American division with Medina, Brunswick, Strongsville, Wadsworth, Highland, North Royalton, Hudson, and Stow making up the National division.
