This Ohio Valley Conference game was never a contest as the Racers (9-9, 6-7 Conf) raced out to the early lead and for the most part never had a problem in keeping the Colonels (14-4, 8-3 Conf) at bay. The Racers outshot the Colonels 52.8% to 41.9%. Chris Carter JR. (Columbia, SC) led the way in the win with 23 points. KJ Williams added 9 boards and 18 points. For Eastern Kentucky, Wendell Green JR. led all scorers with 24 points and 8 assists.
