Great photos! Another solid defensive performance and win for the Irish. Like Jaws said, Mooney's defense is tough and made Ursuline really work for their yardage all night with the exception of a couple big plays.

Late night at the Dawn. How is everyone feeing this morning?

That was some ugly football at times. Ursuline's offense looked real shaky at times with some near interceptions and high snaps. They better clean that up if they want to avoid an early exit from the play-offs, especially with VASJ potentially looming in the second round. Mooney's defense was better than I expected, but they need a complete reboot at offense. The officiating was a bit of a clown car at times with some plays starting before the chains had even been moved. I hope the ref that got banged up is okay! Best of luck to our south side friends in the play-offs.

Prior to Friday's 30-0 loss to Ursuline, the Cardinals had only been blanked 3 times in the 70 game series: 1968- 0-16/ 1984- 0-35/ 2000- 0-28.

Ursuline finished the regular season 18-3-2 between Varsity, JV and Freshman. The only losses were to the Walsh teams. Things are looking very bright for the Irish going forward.
