This was a weird Big Sky game. The Grizzlies (6-6,2-3 conf) scored the first 17 points of the game and slowly built the lead to 27 points. In the 2nd half late in the game the Lumberjacks (3-9,2-4 Conf) who was minus two starters went on a 16-0 run but could never get closer than eleven points. Josh Vazquez (Torrance, CA) led Montana with 15 points and 6 boards. Michael Steadman (Union City, CA) finished with 13 points and 11 boards. Kyle Owens (Calabasas, CA) also had 13 points. For Northern Arizona, Cameron Shelton (Chino, CA) led the way with 19 points and 10 boards. Isaiah Lewis (Little Elm, TX) came off the bench to score 15 points.
