This game will likely happen, Ironton whoops on up the lowly flyers, and that becomes 'proof positive' to support whatever agenda one may have.

It would be a repeat of the matcup vs tUCBW a few years ago. Similiar situation....great flyers squad graduates almost all their production, and get beat by Watterson....

Or are they trying to find a logistical neutral field? Probably wasn't cheap traveling to the Miners this year. Guessing they were told to save some $ this time.

Dude, this stuff is just 48-72 hour old. Only a few even know if there has been any contact between ML and Ironton, and it’s probably no one on here. And you’re asking if it’s going to be played at a neutral site? Details will come out when the time is right. Maybe ML was already in talk with another school or 2 before this weekend about WEEK 1 in august. We don’t know.

No, I'm saying that could be part of the conversation if there is one between the 2 programs. Many are wondering why they just haven't went with it & made the announcement. Much more to it than that and why I put that out there about a neutral field.

Renting the stadium, splitting ticket sales, and then losing out on concession sales for the home squad an jipping a booster club, band boosters, etc, out of the $$ is non starter.

I am not a fan of neutral field regular season games. Neutral site games just lose a little luster .

Yeah, this.

Ironton fans need to come and see MACland and ML fans need to go down and see the Ironton area.

Meeting in Obetz/Columbus just doesn't seem "right" for small-school football.
 
Dont take it the wrong way, this is just for laughs. I saw this picture/meme get used in reference to Tennessee chanting SEC when they havent been too successful as of late. Parkway is the obvious answer, but so obvious its not relevant. Regardless, I am hopeful the Indians turn it around, and it starts with the right coaching hire!!

i disagree slightly. if the options are ml vs ironton at a neutral site or ml vs a cupcake in a home and home, I'll take the neutral site

Coldwater's Chip Otten told the team while in Canton that he plans to return in 2025 and see this Junior class compete. I think he may be taking it year by year. The 7th grade class has some serious size and talent. All the coaches are looking forward to experiencing the class of 2030.

I am not sure if you are serious or being sarcastic. But just in case you are being serious, Stokes will drive players away and Fort will have even a smaller team numbers wise.
