Who will be MAC champions

Divisions / Regions for 2025 have been released. No changes for MAC teams from 2024:

Division 5 Region 20: Versailles

Division 6 Region 22: Parkway

Division 6 Region 24: Coldwater, Anna

Division 7 Region 26: Delphos St. John's

Division 7 Region 28: Marion Local, Fort Recovery, St. Henry, New Bremen, Minster

Interesting side note: Coldwater, Anna, Marion Local, St. Henry and Fort Recovery would all be one division higher if there were no competitive balance adjustments.

Turn that program around? They haven't had a losing season since 2019.

Carson Bills K Football signed at University of Findlay. Probably would have gone to a bigger school but had a hip or groin injury at the end of the season. You will probably recall during the Minster playoff game he did not kick any kickoffs. I heard that Hoelscher is running track and playing football at Ohio Northern, but I haven't seen any official announcement.

yes, they played 3 teams significantly better than them to end the season. and yet they were 6-4. don't think that's much of a "turnaround"
 
Congrats to Parkway softball for the MAC championship. Good thing they kept the coach or he didn't get fed up and leave from the prior bs.
 
Heard ML picked up Carey and Harvest Prep for 2026. Play Bellbrook - HP in 27 then Bellbrook - Carey in 28. I know the Flyers are scheduled to play those schools not sure about the exact order though.
 
Larry Topp...one good dude, has been retired from teaching for a couple of years now, is retiring from coaching Track and Field and cross country after 40 years at Minster....one of the BEST!!!


heard today that he is interested in coming back to coach the Cross Country team.... thats TWO THUMBS UP!!!!

Larry Topp told me once about his first interview for a teaching job:

Interviewer: We need a track coach.

Topp: I can do that.

Interviewer: We also need a junior class adviser and prom supervisor.

Topp: (Hides grimace) I can do that.

New teachers get roped into other positions.

Reminds me of Bobby Knight when he was interviewed for the Celina basketball job. They also wanted him to do like track or something and he didn't wanna coach another so he moved along!
 
Curious if Marion Local will allow the local webcast to do the South Adams game. It would be awesome if they do allow them. Didn't realize the Flyers also play the Knights in Convoy the following week. May have to watch them in person.

Doubtful. Flyers amd the MAC will be way, way, way, way down next yr and no way Goodwin will want this to be broadcast to the masses, especially an early season matchup.

Is that the SA webcast? There's room upstairs in the ML pressbox but I assume WCSM, WOSN and probably someone else will be there too so it'll probably be tight.

Yeah, The Berne Witness crew. They usually cover all 3 Adams County schools if they can/are allowed weekly.

I believe Nativity of the BVM had a fire many many years ago and that’s why it’s building is a different color because it’s painted/stucco.
 
I hear Marion Local will be down next year and Versailles will be up. Any truth to this? I just assumed Marion Local kids stepped in ready to win state titles. Prayers to the Maria Stein community.
