Maria Stein Country Fest holds a Quarterback ChallengeCould someone fill in the blanks for me. If I remember, doesn’t one of the MAC schools put on a QB competition? If so, who and what is the time frame.

As another poster said, it is a Maria Stein Countryfest thing so indirectly Marion Local but not affiliated with the school. The countryfest is June 27-29 this year.Could someone fill in the blanks for me. If I remember, doesn’t one of the MAC schools put on a QB competition? If so, who and what is the time frame.

1) Is that DSJ 1st wrestling state champion?DSJ, Coldwater, Versailles and Parkway have wrestling. Those schools do okay so I don't think the MAC would dominate if more schools took up the sport. I really can't understand why no other MAC schools take up wrestling. There are plenty of kids at those schools who don't play basketball and would succeed at wrestling. And many college football coaches looks for kids who wrestled.
Yes, DSJ's first state champ. We've had a few runners-up. I don't think he played football.1) Is that DSJ 1st wrestling state champion?
2) Did Kessin play football?
Versailles has had one individual state Champion. Aaron Moran, he quit football after his sophomore to concentrate on wrestling. If he would have stayed out for football, He would have all the rushing records and Versailles may have had 2 more State Championship. If he would have been healthy at the end of his sophomore year....3 more state championship. 86, 87, 88.
I think I heard Earl White formally of CJ was hired at Ponitz he is known for turning around the worst of schools in Dayton Public, that could be an interesting one, Rebuild Vs RebuildLet's take a look at the schedule
FORT RECOVERY
1(H) Dayton Ponitz- W Running Clock. Ordinarily I'd crap on a MAC team for scheduling a Dayton City League school but honestly it's the perfect game to start a rebuild.
2@ Allen East - Push. Very evenly matched contest that could go either way
3@ Coldwater- L. Probably won't fair too good but what I'd want to see from them is some effort, enthusiasm, and some progress
4(H) St. Henry- L. Not this year. Maybe next year. The Redskins are going to be good this year.
5@ Delphos St. John's- Push. Again it depends on what athletes Coach Wenning can get back out for football. This Probably can go either way.
6(H) New Bremen - L. Just a bit too much Cardinals. A good game to be competitive and show some life in.
7(H) Marion Local- L. Hopefully you're able to fire the cannon.
8@ Parkway- W. Winnable game for the Indians in year 1.
9@ Anna- L. Should compete with but it'd be quite the jump to beat them.
10(H) Minster- L. See Anna.
Floor: 3-7
Cealing: 5-5
Didn't hear that but that's a good hire if that's true. Let's see how Fort handles the OptionI think I heard Earl White formally of CJ was hired at Ponitz he is known for turning around the worst of schools in Dayton Public, that could be an interesting one, Rebuild Vs Rebuild
I doubt it, that is just pure speculation. Only 4 divisions back then. Sounds like a man crush!1) Is that DSJ 1st wrestling state champion?

Great get for any MAC team in need.
I bet Marion Local has already left several messages.Great get for any MAC team in need.
41 miles , 52 minutes from MSML.
Marion Local would whip them worse than Linton. They'd whip my Jets that bad too. South Adams will have some great teams in 4 or 5 years. They will be good in Indiana this year and will be good in 1A. They have a hard time stopping the run defensively, but their offense bails them out.Great get for any MAC team in need.
Fun thought experiment on a Friday:
Let's go back to 2001 and indulge in some alternate history.
What if when the MAC was looking to expand, they took all 3 schools that were on the table, instead of just Versailles? In this alternate timeline, Sidney Lehman Catholic, and Lima Central Catholic were added to the MAC for a 12 team conference (11 in football).
Before anyone starts saying "that's dumb, the MAC would never have added two more private schools," yes, we know. We're clearly living in that reality. Use a little imagination, for a moment.
What different events do you think would happen?
-Would DSJ feel less of a geographical outlier with one of their big rivals in conference?
-What would happen with the football schedule with 11 teams?
-With LC in a conference, would Anna have stayed in the CCC? Or would both them and Fort Loramie be travel partners in this fictitious version of the TRC.
-Would the Conference Destabilize, or be just fine?
I think this effects DSJ, Anna, Fort Loramie, the TRC, the NWC and (to a lesser extent) the CCC the most.

Time still moves forward. FL would eventually form a program in 2005.Ft. Loramie did not have football in 2001 so this hypothetical outcome would of never happened.
Keith Bergman was 2nd at State in 1992.Also, didn't Keith Bergman or brother Kevin Bergman win individual state in wrestling for Versailles in about 1992?
LCC would have hired Tim Goodwin and MSML wouldn't have any football State ChampionshipFun thought experiment on a Friday:

LCC would've never been a fit. Just a year later we would beat LCC 76-7.Fun thought experiment on a Friday:

Not saying they ever would have been a good fit, but anything prior to 2005 for LCC football is irrelevant. Cooper leaving Grove for LCC in 2005 created what we know as LCC todayLCC would've never been a fit. Just a year later we would beat LCC 76-7.
Spring preview is out today.has the Spring sports preview come out yet in the Celina Standard?
