I like road trips in the first week or two of the season. You get to see a new place, experience different fans and styles of play. Plus the weather is good for the drive and you can go out to eat at a place you would normally not get to.
Idk a 4 hour drive week 1 and having to burn time off to attend a high school football game plus a probable hotel stay is not what I had in mind for a road trip to a new place. I just might be a tightwad though

At least there will be a LOT of new places to stop and eat at along the way!

Only a 7.5 - 8 hr. round trip without stopping. Surprised this game was not moved to Sat. doubt if more than 250 - 300 Flyer fans make the trek. Assuming this is a 1 game deal only. If Franklin does not renew, the Flyers will be right back at the drawing board for games next year.

People in the know are saying this is one of the top three teams Goodwin has ever had. That’s a pretty huge compliment!!

Franklin is a program that should be better than what they've been the past 5 years or so. I would expect the Flyers get a comfortable win out of the trip in Week 1.

Idk about top 3 but they'll be really good, that's for sure.
Potential to be top 3 for sure. My personal rankings are:
1. 2014 - Dominated everyone from the start of the season to the end.
2. 2007 - Not quite as dominate as 2014, but close
3. 2017 - Had a few more close games than the top two.
Maybe in a real game on the field, 2017 may have been the best. Probably more beef and raw strength than the other two, but I rank them based on how they dominate the competition in their given year, and I think 2014 and 2007 get the edge.

Well, after Coldwater thumps Valley View and Massie, reality will set in for the rest of us regarding a perfect season. Let us have our little fantasy of a top 3 all time team for now.

ML will crush Coldwater and you know it!! You are famous for downplaying how good you guys are. Let’s be real here nobody will come within three TD’s of you this year, nobody. Your defense will not even surrender 60 points all season combined. This team is a monster this year.

Being an Ohio based twitter page he sure took a couple L’s today.

One player on his own no matter how good is not going to beat a really good team. St. Clair is Stroud 2.0 at least in style of play, OSU fans who were upset that Stroud did not run will likely be upset with St. Clair. Bellefontaine would likely lose to Marion Local but not because of TSC.
Agreed ML would win divisions 3,5,6 and 7 this year. Only reason I leave out 4 is because of Glenville.

Pretty sure this dude is clowning…
I'd certainly hope so, although I'd be willing to bet he's someone trying to make it "big" on Twitter with his HOT Ohio State takes and that includes being upset a future Ohio State Quarterback can't beat "a tiny school in the middle of the cornfield."

Probably some loser who thinks if you aren't Massillon, Eds, X, Moeller, etc. your not worth a damn.

TSC and the Chiefs were down 3 scorea I believe in both games against Coldwater and the Cause were humbled both seasons against the St14ners.
Bell weakness was on their O and D lines and had TSC scrambling for his life
MSML strengths have been up front so yes..
.I'd say MSML beats Belle.

The chefs lost a great RB and WR along with a lot of other seniors so it will be more on TSC.
Will he run more? Does OSU want/allow.him to run more.may be the question. He is a great.kid, athletic and a rocket arm there is no doubt.about that.

However. ....many of the best HS teams.and QBs I've seen had QBs who run often and effectively.
In HS...I'd take a QB with an arm of a 5, and running ability of a.10 over one that's a 10.and 5.

Doesn't make that first kid a better college or NFL prospect....but a better HS winning qb all things equal.

A QB who runs, and throws well enough, is more valuable than a QB with a.cannon bur doesn't run.

With that said.....
The 2 newbies on here are just jagoffs trying to stir things up, pay no attention and they'll go away.

I was intrigued and check out a few of his recent posts. Evidently, he's coming to God's country today.

Hey now, I'm more of a nuisance than a jagoff.

I was 100% stirring the pot. Just trying to have some good, clean, satirical conversation….which you commented on in depth.

I was also 100% being a jagoff but if that’s frowned upon I can go to a less serious page

Agree. Brody Hoying vs Keith Wenning a good ex., Wenning good enough to play D1 at QB and had a cup of coffee in NFL but would take Hoying at HS QB any day.

There's a lot wrong with what the twitter troll is saying, but I'll focus on an easy one............

Ohio State is offering Tavien St. Clair a scholarship (and boatload of NIL $) to be their Quarterback sometime around 2026-2028. They did not offer him assuming he was ready in week 2 of his Junior year of High School. If the twitter troll doesn't understand the difference in the two players, nothing I could offer would change his mind.

And to thavoice's comment on a QB's impact on a High School game...........I totally agree. An elite running QB that can throw decent has a greater impact on a HS football game than an elite passing quarterback who doesn't run much. The former requires a lot less help from his teammates and is a lot harder for a defense to scheme to stop.

At BHS we had Dezmin Lyburtus in 2017. Dezmin, while not offered by any Division 1 schools (had a great career at WR for Ferris St. and Ashland), had a very similar impact as Tavien St. Clair.

It's just a different skill set, but colleges at the P5 level rely an extreme amount on metrics. They know that their players almost always (always an exception) need to lie in a certain skill set to rise to the level they need. Regardless of how Tavien's OSU career plays out, he blows their metrics out of the water. Those are their staffs words not mine. Oh, and that of Nick Saban as well, so take it for what it's worth.

Aaron Craft against Marion Local was one of the best HS Quarterbacks I've ever seen in person. Obviously we all know where his career went and he had no football future (at least at QB) to add to your point.
