A dedication to Michigan failed attempt to be relevant again.

Mikey Keene, who struggled against Mountain West teams, will surely lead Michigan to the playoffs. At least there won’t be much of a learning curve for him, throwing to MWC-level receivers 5 times a game shouldn’t be too hard.

Very good recruiting class for Michigan coming in and that was before they flipped a 5* OT previously committed to Bama...
6th in total points and 6th in average recruit ranking. Really good class. A few players I think end up being great by the time they leave college.

Just a 3* transfer but also really like their pick up of LB Troy Bowles from UGA, Todd Bowles’ son. He hasn’t done much at Georgia, but they are usually pretty deep at LB. He’ll be more of a future piece though, doubt he plays much this year.
Damon Payne should be a solid DL piece, I don’t think he’ll be a star though.
I thought they’d hit the portal a little harder on the OL, WR and DB a little harder.
It’s also clear they expect Underwood to take the reins over at some point this year otherwise they’d have gotten someone better than Keene. If that’s a good idea or not remains to be seen.
Haynes has the recruiting pedigree and while he was RB2 this year, he was very much the 3rd rushing option at Alabama behind Milroe and Miller. TBD if he is ready to make the jump but given Michigan’s rushing success, I wouldn’t be surprised if he and Marshall have great years.

Looks like Michigan has a favorable schedule. Playing at Oklahoma could be a good game. Michigan lucks out doesn't have to face Oregon or Penn State. Southern California and Ohio State maybe their toughest games in conference.

Here is the 2025 schedule for the Wolverines:

  • Week 1: New Mexico (Aug. 30, 2025)
  • Week 2: @ Oklahoma (Sept. 6, 2025)
  • Week 3: Central Michigan (Sept. 13, 2025)
  • Week 4: @ Nebraska (Sept. 20, 2025)
  • Week 5: BYE WEEK (Sept. 27, 2025)
  • Week 6: Wisconsin (Oct. 4, 2025)
  • Week 7: @ USC (Oct. 11, 2025)
  • Week 8: Washington (Oct. 18, 2025)
  • Week 9: @ MSU (Oct. 25, 2025)
  • Week 10: Purdue (Nov. 1, 2025)
  • Week 11: BYE WEEK (Nov. 8, 2025)
  • Week 12: @ Northwestern (Nov. 15, 2025)
  • Week 13: @ Maryland (Nov. 22, 2025)
  • Week 14: Ohio State (Nov. 29, 2025)

Here are the early prediction for the 2025 Big 10.
Ohio State is the only top 5 team Michigan plays and they have them at home. Michigan should do well. A soft schedule again.

Here's how Fanduel projects the conference will shape up in 2025 with their odds of winning the conference:
  • Ohio State Buckeyes (+170)
  • Oregon Ducks (+230)
  • Penn State Nittany Lions (+380)
  • Michigan Wolverines (+800)
  • Indiana Hoosiers (+2500)
  • Nebraska Cornhuskers (+4500)
  • USC Trojans (+4500)
  • Iowa Hawkeyes (+5000)

Probably a year away from being a legitimate playoff contender unless Underwood proves to be truly exceptional from the jump.

9-3 with a win over OSU should be acceptable.
According to bkmk1 if you don't finish in the top 4 you don't belong in the playoffs. Seems strange that if Michigan makes the 12 team playoffs but isn't a top 4, he won't root for them because Michigan wouldn't be a legitimate playoff team. Glad I am smarter than that. I saw Ohio State play 4 legitimate opponents and win the National Championship
on the field leaving no doubt that they were the best team in the nation.

SCUM will be worse than last, defense is going to be bad. Offense what offense. Soft schedule but Moore as H-C 4-6 losses.

You are completely clueless and obviously know nothing about Michigan. You keep thinking those thoughts.
LOL who is going to be on the d - line (Graham and Grant are not easily replaceable). Who is playing a QB a Frosh (or is it going to be Mikey) good luck with that. Raiola was the next coming of Joe Burrow still waiting. Moore sucks as a HC as does winky SCUM lost 5 games last year with lot more talent than they will have this year. Keep hanging you scum hat on one game.

@bkmk1 had more posts in the 2025 Ohio State thread over a 4 hour period yesterday than he has in this 2025 Michigan thread that has been around for 9 days.

I refuse to take part in this thread. I can give a rats about this team.
Until your suckeyes play them and lose their 5th straight. And now that your large number of seniors and 5th year seniors will be gone, you will take a step back. The new model for winning the Natty is what Michigan did in 2023 and the suckeyes did in 2024. Use NIL to be loaded and keep those seniors and 5th year seniors that are coming back together and have 1 common goal. That is the new model for winning a Natty.
