My understanding is that NIL will eventually require players to play in all games.
Agree. And I have no idea why. Schools have zero leverage. The universitys across the spectrum would need to get behind it but most schools are cowards
And it should. My understanding is that NIL will eventually require players to play in all games.
I would say eliminate maybe half of them. We are so out of touch today in college sports. Bowl games were intended to be:Non-playoff bowl games should be eliminated. They are an antiquated relic of the past that serve no one besides degenerate gamblers.
You don't get a vote. Those putting billions of dollars into the gambling industry get the votes that keep these bowl games going. I don't know if the average gambler studies the teams or not. I suppose it's no different than most people's foray into the stock market. "ooh, pretty colors."Betting on games that you don't even know what players are playing. It would be like betting on the old USFL. No thanks.
I actually do get a vote. And I elect to not gamble on games. But better yet, I would never bet on games where players are opting out and many could care less. I loved seeing a team pull out because there were so many players opting out. That is step 1. Hopefully as the years go by, more and more will be in the same boat and then they might get rid of the meaningless games. I will also say, that we all know the ratings for almost all of the non Bowl games will suck. You don't get a vote. Nobody from Michigan gets a vote. Cheating is in Michigan's DNA. They are not allowed to gamble.I actually do get a vote. And I elect to not gamble on games. Still can't handle that the Michigan Wolverines are just a better prepared, more physical football team than the "World Famous Charmin Soft suckeyes". You know it, but you are having a hard time dealing with it. Instead of looking into the charmin soft suckeye mirror at your clown coaches, it's easier to make excuses. So just keep the excuses coming. It's funny how you know Michigan is just going to run it right down your throats, and they do exactly that every year. Maybe you need more physical players and a coach that has a clue how to stop a running game.Nobody from Michigan gets a vote. Cheating is in Michigan's DNA. They are not allowed to gamble.

Yeah, you definitely didn’t watch any Michigan football this season and definitely didn’t watch The Game. Michigan runningbacks carried the ball for a womping 3.5 ypc. Michigan gained a combined 62 yards on their 3 scoring drives. Ohio State’s defense did their job. But that’s to be expected from a fair weather fan. How embarrassing for you. It's funny how you know Michigan is just going to run it right down your throats, and they do exactly that every year. Maybe you need more physical players and a coach that has a clue how to stop a running game.
Not exactly sure what you are meaning to say with your wet charmin note. As far as comparing the Michigan Wolverines to the suckeyes, it's a 365 thing. Recruits do it, fans do it, media does it. You are really struggling with the latest loss to "THE" Michigan Wolverines - at colscumbus as a 20+ pint favorite. It was a good old fashion Michigan run the ball, eat up clock, win the trenches, be more physical, win the special teams game and quiet the little old ladies that play in the shoe.Well wet charmin gets hard as a rock, I guess we will see this weekend. Don't compare the Wolverines to the Buckeyes.
Good Luck in your bowl game.
Narcissist, sure. But complete L7 loser? First conference championship for Marshall in a decade lolThe X Coach Charles Huff is a complete L7 Loser Narcissist.
We have a little higher expectation.Narcissist, sure. But complete L7 loser? First conference championship for Marshall in a decade lol
Apparently not. Like I said, it’s the first conference title in 10 years. We have a little higher expectation.
Since you have such high expectations I will assume that is also the case for the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. Is that correct? We are the highest winning percentage in all of D1 football in the 90’s.
I would also assume, then, that Marshall has multiple FBS national championships. Can you tell me how many they have? Playoff appearances? Playoff wins? BCS appearances? BCS wins? Since you have high expectations and don’t accept mediocrity, I will assume the answers rival that of Alabama under Nick Saban. We don’t accept mediocrity like they do in Columbus.![]()
Your God.Apparently not. Like I said, it’s the first conference title in 10 years.

Marshall was FCS in the 90s, Ohio State was FBS. Would you like to compare a house cat’s speed to a jaguar’s next?Your God.
Yes but the expectation comes from the 90’s. Were#1 your number #10
Sure Sure on the Natl Titles.
We don’t get the Homer picks like the Cripps Do.
Good Luck against Rocky Top. Feels like its going to be Mizzou all over again.![]()
Sorry Pal you’re wrong. Marshall was FCS for some of the Ninety’s but they were FBSMarshall was FCS in the 90s, Ohio State was FBS. Would you like to compare a house cat’s speed to a jaguar’s next?
What about title appearances? Playoff appearances? For some reason you neglected to address those.
Living vicariously through another team because you lost 49-14, sad to see. But hey, at minimum, it’ll be significantly more entertaining than no bowl game because everyone left!
Sorry Pal, more right than you are. They were in FBS for three seasons. They spent the vast majority of the 90s in FCS.Sorry Pal you’re wrong. Marshall was FCS for some of the Ninety’s
You’re comparing 3 seasons for Marshall to 10 seasons for everyone else in FBSbut they were FBS
Long enough to have the Highest Winning Percentage in the FBS in the 90’s.
Sorry, I just assumed FBS playoff appearances and title appearances would be something you’re proud of since Marshall has such high expectations. I did look it up. It’s 0. I thought you said Marshall doesn’t accept mediocrity? You want to know the playoff Appearances and Title appearances you look them up.
You’re right, 49-14 was a joke. It should have been much worse for Marshall. The 49-14 loss was a joke.
That’s because you’re ALWAYS living vicariously through other teams since Marshall isn’t very good. If you don’t want me to keep calling you out on it, I suggest you stop living vicariously through other teams. You always GO with the Vicarious BS.
*you’reYour just like the Chokeyes a real deflector. Go to bed Joe Biden.![]()
Well, not for no reason. But definitely for a ridiculous reason.Very unfortunate for Marshall. They did everything thing right all year and just got screwed over for no reason.
They went 10-3 and won their conference. Why would he get a low ball contract offer for on field performance.Well, not for no reason. But definitely for a ridiculous reason.
Huff doesn’t like doing the donor schmoozing type of responsibilities a D1 coach has. The big name donors got their panties in a wad about it. They leaned on the AD and gave him a low ball contract (low ball for the on field performance, at least).
Long story short: a bunch of high paid egos ruined it for the players and the fans.
Yes, but because I probably worded my post funny. This part of my post. They went 10-3 and won their conference. Why would he get a low ball contract offer for on field performance.
Am I missing something?
Donors told the AD that if Huff stays, the well is drying up. So the AD offered an insultingly lowball offer, despite the 10-3 record with a conference championship.Huff doesn’t like doing the donor schmoozing type of responsibilities a D1 coach has. The big name donors got their panties in a wad about it. They leaned on the AD

*you’re
You being a Marshall fan is starting to make perfect sense.Sorry Joe Biden. Your wrong facts are facts. Marshall is #1 in the 90’s.
Sorry Joe Biden your football Team is Not that good. They proved the last game of the year.
The Marshall Game was a joke Just like I said. Typical Homer city so the Cripps don’t get their feelings hurt.
You live your Fantasy the rest of the week. Then like last year Reality will set in on Saturday night.
There just not that Good.
Here’s why they matter. It matters to this guy, his team, the fans. Cal moved to 6-6 and bowl eligible with a comeback win over 3 win rival Stanford. A nothing game in the grand scheme of college football, but it was clearly meaningful to Cal to go to a bowl game (which they lost to UNLV). No game is meaningless. Here's why. The NCAA over the years has cut way back on the amount of time the coaches can do things with their players. Number of practices, number of padded practices, etc.. The coaches hate it. It's their necks on the line as they are the ones that get fired for not producing. But keep taking practices away and what they can do at practices is not fair to them. It's also happening after finals are done, so that would not play a factor. And any coach is pretty clear how important it is to make a Bowl game so they get the extra practices for next year. They rarely talk about the Bowl game itself. The non playoff Bowl games, have become meaningless scrimmages and even most fans could care less. I hope that explains my logic and dislike for a few reasons.
