Man dies after being put in a chokehold by another rider on New York City subway

We don't have a right to be mentally ill? We don't have the right to be homeless?
That's insane.
You're insane. No one said that, but YOU and the other dems, rolling in the blood of a suffering nut they ignored and continually inflicted upon the commuting public.

You have a right to be a psycho_

You have no right whatsoever to act out on your psychosis. When you make verbal threats in public upon other people, your rights begin to diminish.

Tox goes to inferred behavior…f-Ed up people act weird, crazy…it can be inferred from tox. With video, you don’t need to infer…
When opposed by evil crusaders, ie Alvin Bragg and Kathy Hochul, a guy should leave no stone unturned, no extenuating circumstances unexplored.

Most importantly, you seem to ignore - in your typical fashion - that the relevance of a toxicology report here goes far, far beyond Neely's extreme behavior while he was conscious. Toxicology with specific attention to what point a central nervous system depressant has reached in Neely's metabolic processes can go directly to even perhaps his primary cause of death. Methinks you are not so obtuse.

IF, of course, NYC elected Dems choose to even look there and turn that stone over.

It's very relevant. You have to look at the know facts at the time. He was loud and threw down his jacket and was choked out. Period.
I don't need to know someone's rap sheet to know that he is aggressive and violent if he is yelling and threatening people and then he removes his coat and throws it to the ground. That's a pretty good indicator he is about to act out his violence.

Had this scenario played out on a plane, the Marine would be doing morning talk shows as a hero right now.

No, Not true. Edited out.

Voices in his head I suppose, or nothing. It did not require him being choked out. As bad and as many things as the guy did in the past, he didn't kill anyone. We have gotten away from using reasonable force to deadly force for everything. Argue all we want, It did not rise to the level of deadly force. You just can't assume people are going to do something. It's very concerning to me that the guy that choked him out escalated it to a deadly situation. Way over the top.
He didn't escalate the situation.

He de-escalated it. It just happens that the the de-escalation resulted in the assailants death. It wasn't intentional. It was the result of the de-escalation.

There were quite a few that just got up and moved to another part of the car. It wasn't some big panic where people felt threatened. I saw interviews with people that were on the car that thought it was just every day ranting. No big deal to them. Did Penny offer any help to a man in distress? A man having a mental break down? Try and calm the situation down and see if there was something besides choking him out that could be done? Interesting how "Full footage" is not really full footage. Let the system work. Maybe try and take some lessons from the situation and put stuff out there that is constructive and that can reduce situations like this in the future. Not sure what good comes from any of this unless it's used as a learning tool.
Why was it anyone's responsibility on that train to offer him mental help?

Get real.

It was a tense situation. People respond with fight or flight. It is natural. As you pointed out, some people moved away (flight) and others responded by fight. Those are two responses expected. Offering mental help is not a natural response in those situations.

Because we are human beings. You are better that someone killed him than offered him some help? Offering help is absolutely a natural response for many people. Killing them should not be.

You are criticizing the terrified folks on the subway for not offering Neely mental health counseling under these circumstances? You people have officially gone off the deep end.

Neely was the only person actually on that train responsible for Neely's mental health.

The people actually "responsible" for the "keeping" of that "brother"
, the social worker "priests" and the local Judges ("bishops") of the Secular Humanism Democrat Religion, are paid to have that responsibility. Both groups, likely Democrats all in godforsaken NYC, had clearly failed both Neely AND Penny.

Yes, it is a religion.

It requires more blind faith than Christianity.

"We need to 're-invent policing'!" Yeah, NO. F___ off, Demarxists.

psycho_ is a goof.

It was a volatile situation. Fight or flight is a natural response.

The time to offer him mental help was after each of his 40+ arrest not in the middle of a psychotic violent outburst.

Killing an attacker (whether it was intended or not) is absolutely an expected response especially from someone trained to do it. We don't train Marines to incapacitate people. We train them to kill. While unfortunate, it is not unexpected that dying is a real possibility when you are in that situation.

Fight or flight. Kill or be killed.

Very real and natural responses in that situation.

You should contact Mayor Adams and discuss creating a new division for New York Transit. Call them Subway Mental Health Assistants. Each train can have a Mental Health assistant on board to talk with passengers about their feelings when they see an individual having an episode or acting up.

Amazing how they want to offer psychological help in that moment but then want to deny the PROVEN psychological response of fight or flight.

You know, maybe this social worker "re-inventing" make-work is a little better than just paying off their student loans, but these Dem idiots really need to be locked in one of those cash-grab contest phone booths with the fans in the floor with a "customer" off of his meds.

actually saw on abc this morning where they said that the people were grateful for how those three men handled the situation. What this does people will not stand up to help people protect other people. This guy was a thug, hell he tried to take a 7 year old boy!!!! and now his family comes out and says the same crap about he was a good guy... this guy needed to be OFF the streets... the LEGAL system is at fault for this POS being on the streets... you can defend this POS........no need to go on, you are who you are!!!

show the interviews.....that you saw!!!

Based on their behavior the day of their deaths, it seems pretty obvious that Ashley Babbit was a much bigger threat than this frail little dude.

This guy has evidently been offered help forty or more times.

Probably best that he left us.

His sweetie family that abandoned Jordan Neely on the streets ? The people more responsible than anyone for his tragic death now want a payday for the results of their own failure to commit this dead kook to a place where he'd be protected from himself.

Perfect modern Democrat Symmetry

I would have handled the situation much differently. There would have been a lot more interaction before deadly force was used. You people> What do you mean by that? Some compassion might have gone a long way. We will never know.

I'm not defending him. He obviously needed some help. Didn't need killed. Step1...Step2...Step3... Step4...
