In the article from press pros magazine, Lonsway discussed the success he has had at Ohio State with his curveball. He noted that in middle school he went to Defiance High school a few times for pitching lessons and learned how to throw a curveball from Defiance High School Baseball coach Tom Held. Coach Held was the Ohio Co-Baseball Coach of the year in 2015 with his cousin Tim Held, the Head Baseball coach at Moeller.
