The lottery and casinos were supposed to solve all of these issues so do not hold your breath.For those following, Ohio punted the sports gambling issue till the spring.
And it was the Supreme Court who paved the way and like I've said in the past, anyone who wants to gamble is already doing it. I personally would like them to use some of the money to get rid of pay for play, band or whatever extra costs parents pay in order for their kids to participate. I'm not sure how to do this fairly but I strongly believe having kids involved in things shouldn't be limited by costs at the school level. If a family wants to spend $5k for some select team, that's their option. But every kid should at least be given a shot without financial burdens

The numbers don’t lie about the amount of tax dollars these places bring in. It’s the politicians who’ve messed up where it’s spent.I’m hoping between lottery, casinos, sports gambling and the eventual recreational marijuana tax it will be enough to solve all those issues (and some infrastructure). But I know I’m setting myself up for disappointment.
