Lacrosse- how is your team handling conferences?

Now that that the inaugural year of Lacrosse being an official OHSAA sport is done, how many teams are in conferences that recognize lacrosse as part of their league? Are they forming new leagues for lax only? Just curious about how that is working for others. As of now, the GCL (Cincinnati- Greater Catholic League) does not list the sport in their website despite having all 4 schools (Elder, Lasalle, Moeller, St. Xavier) participate in lacrosse at both the varsity and JV level.

Most leagues I know of don't have enough member schools with teams, they just try and get whatever games they can get that aren't too far.

Laxpower.com is the best place to go for boys and girls lacrosse in Ohio right now. Since so few schools offer it, it’s broken down into D1-D2 and 4 regions each. There are some schools that play an independent schedule also.

So right now a “conference” is recognized as most of us would think of a region in another sport like football.

LaSalle doesen't play X or Moe in Lacrosse

GMC conference will include boys and girls lacrosse next year as a varsity sport. 6 schools (out of their 10) will participate- Mason, Oak Hills, Lakota East, Lakota West, Sycamore and Fairfield.
