Jarrel Miller is headed to Iowa Central and not lowa

New Juco rules....doesnt count against eligibility. Maybe a good move to get in a bunch of matches he wouldnt of got at Iowa his first year.Jarrel Miller is headed to Iowa Central and not lowa![]()
I thought the rule hasn’t pass itNew Juco rules....doesnt count against eligibility. Maybe a good move to get in a bunch of matches he wouldnt got at Iowa his first year.
I had heard that it did, but I really didnt put too much thought into it until I read this thread. You very well could be right.I thought the rule hasn’t pass it
I would think that being at St Eds you would have all kinds of extra help with your studies.I would guess it’s grade related? Very talented but may need some extra help on the studies.
Private schools don’t have close to the resources that public schools have when it comes to assisting students with learning. He might have had assistance making sure he was eligibleI would think that being at St Eds you would have all kinds of extra help with your studies.
Eds likely gave this young man the structure to persevere if he had academic struggles. If people are knocking him for taking a step back to eventually take 2 steps forward then you need to get a life. This just seems pettyI would think that being at St Eds you would have all kinds of extra help with your studies.
exactly, could be a new trend with roster limitations. get more development and in part even get all the pre-req classes done. who knows. but this isnt the first athlete to take this rout.New Juco rules....doesnt count against eligibility. Maybe a good move to get in a bunch of matches he wouldnt of got at Iowa his first year.
If you were already on a team or offered a scholarship as a 2025 you are a Designated Student Athlete for any schools that opt into the revenue sharing and will not count against the roster cap while in college.exactly, could be a new trend with roster limitations. get more development and in part even get all the pre-req classes done. who knows. but this isnt the first athlete to take this rout.
I could be dead wrong on this, but my gut tells me it's not related to grades. I was thinking more like what TBND stated above.exactly, could be a new trend with roster limitations. get more development and in part even get all the pre-req classes done. who knows. but this isnt the first athlete to take this rout.
They do help to prepare you but they aren't going to hold your hand. I got the lowest GPA at St Ed versus undergrad and grad school. Also goes to show they aren't just giving good athletes straight A's.Not being petty, I legit would think that schools like Eds would be preparing their students for the next level. Aren’t they a specialized college prep school as opposed to a school like Aurora? I don’t knock him at all for going this route. Whatever helps him out, and he gets an education along the way. I think you need to chill out Eastside Cats. Not all of us are all knowing like yourself and your private education.
The one thing I know is that I know nothing. Not being petty, I legit would think that schools like Eds would be preparing their students for the next level. Griz you are dead wrong. St. Ed's is known for helping keep with special needs or those who may require extra help. That statement is completely false. What Miller and Iowa decide is between them. I love how people jump on an 18 year old kid.Private schools don’t have close to the resources that public schools have when it comes to assisting students with learning. He might have had assistance making sure he was eligible, but they don’t have the support staff usually due to funding. He will be fine in the long run, he’s super talented.
The kid has to want it. Eds does prepare kids for college and prepares them well. Look at the curriculum. However, every kid doesn't want it. I don't know if that's his situation but it goes both ways. Not being petty, I legit would think that schools like Eds would be preparing their students for the next level. This isn’t a trend. He has openly put on social media it was grade- related.exactly, could be a new trend with roster limitations. get more development and in part even get all the pre-req classes done. who knows. but this isnt the first athlete to take this rout.
Probably should have just went to class. It's not a secret what Ed's was doing for "certain" athletes. Not even surprised.Griz you are dead wrong. What was eds doing?Probably should have just went to class. It's not a secret what Ed's was doing for "certain" athletes. Not even surprised.
Talented kid, big step to D1 wrestling at Iowa no matter the recruit. They want him develop and mature another year without losing eligibility...makes senseNew Juco rules....doesnt count against eligibility. Maybe a good move to get in a bunch of matches he wouldnt of got at Iowa his first year.
It is solely grade related. Hopefully this will help him mature.Talented kid, big step to D1 wrestling at Iowa no matter the recruit. They want him develop and mature another year without losing eligibility...makes sense
LOL clown.Probably should have just went to class. It's not a secret what Ed's was doing for "certain" athletes. Not even surprised.
Yeah, ok. You're just being naive. Just ask someone, anyone around the program. They can shed some light. You go to Ed's and your a prop 48? I am sure that happens ALL the time.LOL clown.
Nothing, that's the problem. They should have addressed it the first time. What was eds doing?
And how do you know they didn't address it?Yeah, ok. You're just being naive. Just ask someone, anyone around the program. They can shed some light. You go to Ed's and your a prop 48? I am sure that happens ALL the time.

Certain athletes in that wrestling room also make it to Ivy league schools. You are painting a whole program with rumor, innuendo, and hearsay. Sad day when Iggy guy defends the Eagles.LOL clown.
A week ago a friend of mine sent me this spreadsheet of all the Eds wrestlers who wrestled in college. It’s honestly remarkable, and you’re right about the Ivy League schools.Certain athletes in that wrestling room also make it to Ivy league schools.
