Before the two tournies began, I looked at the brackets and had the hunch the girls would be done in the regional semis to Walsh, and the boys in the regional finals vs Iggy. Like I said, I hate it when my hunches aren't proven wrong, sometimes. :( :dang:

Our guys played a better game than earlier in the season, no question about that, but still fell to Iggy, 2-0, to conclude all fall sports at Jackson at 19-2. For the third time in almost exactly a year, Iggy held us scoreless. The good news is that we kept the shots fairly equal (6-5), but Iggy's goalie, Joe Kalt, is perhaps one of the very best goalies to ever come through Ohio soccer, recording his amazing 43rd shutout in his HS career. FORTY THREE! Wow...I cannot even contemplate that number! On the plus side, he's GRADUATING...whew!

Anyhow, congrats to our wonderful team for a very fine season. Time to start looking towards next year.
