I think Coventry has had the chances to be really good for awhile, just couldnt catch a break. The last time they had a winning season was in 2017. 2018, and 2019, they had injury issues. And in 2020, they had to deal with a brand new coach, and a brand new system during a pandemic year. I hope coach Kinsey can be the answer that Coventry needs. But in order to have a chance at succeeding here, he will have to focus on several issues. Firstly, injury prevention; ensuring proper stretching routines before and after practices, as well as ensuring that the summertime conditioning actually prepares the athletes for the rigours of a season, is necessary to reduce the amount of season ending injuries for the comets. Secondly, discipline, on and off the field. Thirdly, off-season conditioning; Keith Shinn's steelyard is a great resource. Also, Coventry has an excellent track coach in Danny Savage, for speedwork in the springtime. There is simply no excuse for the continued underperformance of Coventry's football team. I personally believe we have everything we need, right here in the township, to put together a winning product every year.
