I smell FOOTBALL in the air. What's that I hear coming down those tracks? Why it's...

I am a Big Ten fan, but if the opportunity presents it self, I highly recommend any college football aficionado attend a game at a SEC venue. The whole game day experience is simply more exciting, more electric for fans than any where in the Big Ten.

I’ve been to 4 stadiums, although my visit to Denny Bryant was for just the spring game, and couldn’t agree more. UGA’s Sanford Stadium a couple of times, UK’s Kroger Field once, and probably 10 games at Arkansas’ Razorback Field. I can’t speak from experience as I haven’t been to Wisky or PSU but from what I’ve seen on TV it seems like Madison and Happy Valley seem to be in the same stratosphere.

I’ve only hit two SEC stadiums but loved both of them. I went to LSU in 2009 for a night game vs Auburn and then again in 2013 for the post-Thanksgiving Friday afternoon game vs Arkansas. It was an amazing atmosphere, especially at night.

The crown jewel experience was following up the 2013 LSU game by heading northeast to Auburn for the next day, where my buddy and I attended the famous Kick Six Iron Bowl game. I could live to be 100 and never attend a better sporting event in all likelihood.

I want to get to UGA, Tennessee, Florida and Ole Miss at some point in the next decade or so. I’ve been on Bama’s campus and walked by Bryant-Denny but haven’t been there for a game day. Vanderbilt also has a beautiful campus to walk through.

I made it to a Georgia game last year and wasn’t impressed at all. Nothing compared to OSU.

Yeah, at UGA, starting about Thursday. UGA fans start their tailgate with their set ups featuring every type of recreational vehicle imaginable, adjacent to the West endzone at Sanford Stadium. And about 3:00 PM on Saturday, a football game breaks out. The only thing that would make it better, would be if ALL games were at night.

Last season's Tennessee game was EPIC. The Vols had been saying all week, how Sanford Stadium was vastly overrated for atmosphere. And a little before the NOON kick off, the decibel level was likened to a JET ENGINE. And when it started to rain, the noise level INCREASED, as NOBODY had left the building.

You should have been at Jordan-Hare, the day UGA, up by four points, had apparently intercepted a Tiger/Plainsman/WarEagle pass to win the game. When it ricocheted off a UGA defender, and into the waiting hands of an Auburn WR, for the WINNING seventy yard TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
