FYI:
Had some business around Brookfield today so I went up to see their newly built stadium. Their away stands are about the same size as Hubbard's bandshell seating wise at 250. So, the vast majority of the Hubbard Faithful would be standing if they are planning on attending the game. The press box is on the visitor's side and looks like it was either a boxcar or a storage container before becoming their pressbox. They play on natural grass which looks like it's in very good shape, plus I do like their stadium lights. Their home side looks like it seats around 1500 and all of the bleachers look brand new. They have a basic scoreboard which also looks new along with a running track. So, if the Hubbard Faithful plan on attending the Hubbard/Brookfield game at Brookfield go early if you plan on sitting because the visitor's side is very very small or go sit on Brookfield's home side.

Hubbard had a passing scrimmage against Sharon on Tuesday and they looked pretty good!
Thanks for the info SOARING, looks like "Hubbard might finally be multi-dimensional on offense" with a QB with a nice arm, and 2 junior wideouts with nice hands this season.

That sophomore who made the grab in the corner has a lot of potential. Kid got a lot of length. With what returns I expect 7-3 no worse than 6-4. I look for HW to run a lot this year. The kid they lost on defense to Mooney hurts but is replaceable in addition to several other starters returning.

I think 7-3 at worst but could easily be 8-2

You must be talking about the black kid Byron Moss? He is a friend of my grandson and he's a good kid. He wasn't going to play this year cause he said he wasn't big enough and they wouldn't play him. He was good last year as a freshman wide out.

All about correct, the away side does seat more than 250 closer to 500 officially. The press box you see is on the away side is only gonna be for the visitor coaches and staff and what not. They are putting up a much larger one on the home side for the home coaches, media and announcers and what not. Guessing portable band bleachers may have to be brought in for you guys (only team on our schedule with that big of a band and fan base). Everything you see up there is new oR 1-2 years old from the old stadium (lights, band bleachers, and scoreboard)

Any plans of turf or anything like that ?

At some point yes, but not this year or next year. Phase 2 of the project is starting this fall and will include a softball field, baseball field and a concession stand and restrooms which will be in between all 3 fields servicing all of them throughout the year. More cosmetic stuff like a brick entryway and similar things will be added prior to the 2025 season

There just scrimmages
That's exactly my point. Losing doesn't matter. Why not schedule the toughest opponent possible to prepare your kids? No offense to either East or Ridge but they aren't the toughest possible opponents. Maybe they couldn't get anyone else though.

You’re just a Hubbard hater. Don’t you dare bring logic into this hahaha

But my take on it is that they are confidence builders going into the season.

I've been patiently waitng for you know who to say something......lol

I agree about building some confidence. I think it should be 1 confidence builder then 1 tough test. Then again they barely beat East last year so maybe that is their "test."

Not sure of why they couldn't have scheduled tougher opponents. But as for prepping for a tougher schedule ahead I don't think it's a big deal in a scrimmage. Sure, it would be better to play your kids against better athletes to see what there capable of, but by this time they are sure who will be the starters

Spread relax. Don't be the as_hole in every crowd
Taco Boy likes to stir the pot with his total hate for Hubbard, he's probably still sleeping in his mother's basement right now waiting untill she makes his hot chocolate for breakfast.

With over 12,000 posts, this is by far his "whole entire life" other than making tacos. 🤣😂

Taco boy? Actually never mind that’s your dementia. A real shame to see this happen to my #1 fan.
