How to watch Reds & Guardians on tv?

I know there have been a lot of shuffling of tv contracts since Bally went out of business. I currently have DirecTV. I'm hoping they keep the same broadcast groups, I've grown accustomed to listening to Manning and Underwood. Sadek and Welsh are growing on me, I enjoy Brantley and Day, but Larkin is kinda dry even though he's very knowledgeable.

Don’t know about the Reds, but CLE is keeping the same broadcast team, Underwood and Manning.

Reds and Guardians are on FanDuel, which bought Bally's. You can stream the games on the FanDuel app for like $20 per month, $105 for the baseball season or $189 for a year which includes the other programming like the Blue Jackets and Cavs.

It stinks for many consumers but it's a sign of the times. Major League baseball has no interest in keeping and growing the game so they just are going to kick alot of fans to the curb.

The Reds will have the same broadcast teams of John Sadak, Barry Larking, Chris Welsh, Tommy Thrall and Jeff Brantley. Anne Sabo and Jim Day will cover on field and studio stuff.

This is why I don't follow the Guardians. When you can't see most games, the interest level drops dramatically.

The king of incorrect posts strikes again!

The Guardians ARE NOT on FanDuel this year. This was widely announced weeks ago. They will be available on MLB.tv.

I thought the Guardians swithed to MLB.tv and the Reds did, but the Reds reniged and stayed with FanDuel. So, its going to cost $99.99 to watch the Guardians? And I will have to download the app onto my TV or phone to watch them? Crazy.

Do you stream Netflix or Prime or Youtube? The MLB app is no different. I joined the other day and loved watching the Spring Training game. If you're not a streamer, then at some point you'll have to adjust because I'm guessing all sports will go that route someday.

You can watch on any computer, smart TV, or other streaming device. $100 for 162 games is 62 cents per game.

All the info is in the link I provided. If you are still a cable TV person, there is hope, but it depends.

I've got DirecTV, so I guess I'm gonna be out of luck soon.

Sir - in the link I posted this is covered. I also copied in the pertinent information for you right above your post. it says "Guardians TV will be available on similar satellite and cable providers in which Guardians games have been carried in the past. Specific providers will be announced closer to Opening Day."

Trying to give you useful info but you have to read it. I do not think you are out of luck.

Agree. I thought the presentation was superior to Ballys

nothing like putting more obstacles in front of people to watch a REDS ballgame....... well , it will give me more time to work on my golf game!!!!!
Nothing has changed from last year except the owner of the media outlet. 🤷‍♂️

Fanduel bought out Bally's. If you are a cable subscriber, (Spectrum, etc.) and you had Bally's, you will have Fanduel. If you are a streamer, pay Fanduel instead of Ballys.

They made it easier to watch the games. Get your head out of the bunker.

Yeah, the college football season ended, so there’s no value in chatting over there until next season begins. I trust you don’t need me joining in with the Buckeye circle jerk or the unending Michigan vs OSU drivel.

I’ll be in the MLB forum this spring and summer like usual.

the thing is you never returned AFTER the national championship game, why is that? because if I recall, you were pretty LOUD leading up to the game...

I hope you are correct. I have Armstrong Cable and Bally's was included in the package. However, at the moment if one calls up that channel there is only a memo on screen that says FanDuel Sports Great Lakes ceased broadcasting on Feb. 28, 2025. It goes on to say that Armstrong is negotiating with MLB to continue carrying the Guardians. I don't know if it will be included at all or if it will be part of the basic cable package or become a premium channel with an additional charge. Hopefully it will get worked out.

The Guardians games are broadcasted by MLB now, I believe. The Reds are still with FanDuel Sports (formerly known as Bally Sports).

You probably want to hang tight until right up to Opening Day and see if your provider reaches a deal with MLB/Guardians to show their games. Otherwise, I’d assume there will be a Guardians TV streaming package through MLB.tv, similar to what other teams under MLB’s production wing have had the past year or two.

My note was in response to the Reds TV question - Reds are still on FanDuel Sports Ohio.

Yes, FanDuel Great Lakes is gone, and yes, the MLB has confirmed they are carrying the Guards on the streaming MLB TV app. The package is $99 for the whole season, so less than 75 cents per game. And the best part, when you watch a game on MLB TV, you can choose the audio from the home or visiting team, so you can watch the game on MLB TV and listen to Tom Hamilton - the best in the business IMO.

Yes sir I am aware that MLB is now carrying the Guardians but that doesn't mean that Armstrong will be carrying it, that is my question. I want to be able to watch it the same way I have watched the Indians/Guardians for decades. I know it isn't much money but if Armstrong does not carry MLB TV I don't know that I will pay the $99 to watch them. We shall soon see as opening day is less than two weeks away.

My Spectrum cable package has always included the MLB Network, so I’m hoping I don’t have to incur any additional costs to see the Indians games.

MLB TV drops their price at some point(s) in the season, fwiw.

Also, I believe they also have a good price for all the teams' games, no?
