1. What "those" players do in the pros has nothing to do with what they accomplished at Michigan. Most of them are 3/4 stars that Michigan develops and fit a scheme for Michigan. They were incredible college football players and a true "TEAM" with a lot of heart and determination to erase the sour taste from the TCU loss the year before. the suckeyes get 4/5 star players and do nothing with them and can't be Michigan's 3/4 star players. . Then osu's 4/5 star players go on and become great pros. cryin ryan blows as a coach. I root for "THE" Michigan Wolverines every Saturday. Once they leave Michigan it is: good luck to them all. I will finish with this fact:
Thread is about Michigan cheating, please stay on topic.
2. cryin ryan and other teams got their pee wee league signs stolen. wah, wah, wah.   . I don't really care. Yes: End of story!

@bkmk1 I’m going to ask you a simple yes or no question. If you can’t answer that with either of those two words I will be done with you. Here is the question: you claim to be a former teacher, so were you ok with your students cheating?
1. You being done with me is perfectly fine with me.
2. Would I be ok with any of my students cheating? No. And I have dealt with that numerous times over my career. Did I handle them all the same? No. Many factors go into the discipline handed out. Some more severe than others.
3. Do I believe Connor Stallions was stealing signs. Yes. Do I believe that Harbaugh knew about Stallions scheme. The jury is out. IMHO, Stallions was a nut case. He was a psycho and had his own agenda. I think he was 1 of many people in this world that have a very high IQ, but their brain is wired differently. But for me 2 things still matter: 1. Until EVERYTHING comes out about the entire STALLIONS operation, this is NOT a Michigan operation. 2. I have written it before and will write it again. I don't care if they got teams signs. And I know all about the "in-person" part of it. Knowing that all teams work on stealing other teams signs. I DON"T CARE!! It is petty B.S.

Now, go away and please be done with me. Although, I really think you would miss me. After all, I am your favorite anti-suckeye fan. You love my posts. You love to argue with me, and the back and forth banter. You love my incredible insight. You love all that I bring to your daily reading on yappi!!

@bkmk1 using your own asinine logic, if you caught a student cheating and they responded with “who cares, I don’t agree with that rule, it’s petty BS!” would you pass them?

If yes, you're a failure of a teacher and a dumbazs but at least you’re consistent.

If no, you’re a hypocrite and as such a poor leader/role model to those students you “taught.”

Well at least we know that @bkmk1 didn’t teach ELA or social studies, since his reading comprehension sucks. Deuces. You won’t be missed; although your posts are actually kinda funny unlike the podcaster

I can picture a kid taking their ACT and pull out a textbook and say, “my teach, Mr. bkmk1, said it’s ok to cheat if we don’t agree with the rules”

"As I've said from day 1, most of my sourcing throughout this has come from contacts made during my career in TV news. The interesting part about that industry is its transient nature - people are always coming and going. You might spend 2 years of nights, weekends, and holidays with someone before they hop, skip, and jump between other markets. You end up knowing folks everywhere.

In the week leading up to the COI panel hearing - and in the days since - I've checked in with contacts either adjacent or directly connected to other B1G teams, covering 6 other programs (not OSU or MSU).

The temperature checks here earlier in the scandal were varied... while all agreed that the infractions were serious, there were huge questions as to what the NCAA would ultimately have the stones to do.

Now, though? Just about everyone is expecting vacated wins, non-recognition of titles, and a multi-year postseason ban.

Perhaps most interestingly, though, is that most of them also ultimately expect the conference to act in at least some meaningful way (outright stripping of titles, further alteration of records, other sanctions) based on the COI's punishments.

In short, the rest of the conference is still pissed and expects appropriate actions to be taken."

I have no idea what will happen in this investigation. Say they find them guilty of sign stealing and want to vacate wins. Will the betting apps/sports betting houses take any kind of stance on this?

Thats a 20m question..... If Vegas gets involved then everything the FBI found on Weiss Computer will become Public knowledge. People with knowledge have been saying there is pirated practice footage of several B10 Teams on there that at this point isn't part of the current 12 violations the NCAA is ruling on currently . if true that will certainly be a major part of any lawsuit brought by the Boys in the desert . And put a very very nasty exclamation point on Harbaugh and the SCUM Program that will last for decades. And may prompt the first major full blown investigation by the new enforcement agency. I would think you get out ahead of this and reach a out of court non-disclosure settlement with any and all parties in vegas . You don't want lawyers with subpoena powers poking around your FB program for stuff like this....... Lying under oath in a court of Law is much different that going to the NFL to avoid answering questions....
Expensive Yes , But probably a lot less than the Doctor's case they settled and of course the Weiss case that may shatter all settlement records. 500,000 Victims . Let that sink in for a minute.........

If you have a membership ask PD why NIL agents have started pushing clients to Michigan again post COI hearing. Michigan couldn’t have been colder on the trail until shortly after the COI hearing.

Seems to me that these agencies wouldn’t be allowing their clients to go to a school headed for serious punishment. Perhaps there was some leak of info that swayed these agencies into green lighting Michigan for their clients.

I still go with, if the punishment was essentially a nothing burger why would they have prolonged this whole thing, at the expense of recruiting? Plus lots of their coaches have been impacted by this nothing burger already.

Why? Because the NCAA has a process for these things and it has to be followed.

Outside of Sherrone none of the coaches work for Michigan anymore and have zero incentive to fight the ncaa. They’ll all serve out their token punishments in the comfort of the NFL. FWIW Sherrone should get hammered just for the simple fact he was stupid enough to delete those texts.

One of the first rules in a class action suit such as this is to get as many deep pockets and high profile names involved as possible. Increases the money pot and the incentive to settle quickly.

That being said those that did wrong in this case should pay.

Interesting take. The recent House settlement plus previous court cases that led to allowing NIL in the first place indicates any NCAA decision that hinders a student athlete from profiting from use of their N-I-L will not survive legal scrutiny. That leads me to believe Michigan's penalties will not involve scholarship reductions or bowl bans, thus Wolverine recruiting is open for business. In fact they scored a commitment away from Ohio State today:

Excellent point Omega.

Does the NCAA really want to try its luck in a federal court system that’s been hostile to them over the years? It’s likely Michigan would take them that far if they pushed the issue. They could in the process end up hurting themselves more than Michigan.

Also does the NCAA want to have to disclose their sources to court scrutiny? Would either of their two main sources even participate if their names go public.

Glass houses and stones, of course complicated by the ongoing Weiss case. The additional outcome best penalty to put the saga to rest would be a negotiated fine for the university as punishment for lack of institutional control and suspension of Moore.

I am an OSU fan, but I know the issue needs put to rest so both programs can go forward and concentrate on winning football games and not be distracted by the legal side show

Does Michigan really want to be under Subpoena in a Federal Court is the bigger question. You can run and hide from the NCAA , but no one wants Lawyers who can put you under oath and catch you lying crawling around your FB Program . The NCAA is lied to every day and has zero repercussions . Plus defending their FB Programs ill wills is not where they are going to need to put their Lawyers and Money. Defending against what could easily become a 1b settlement in the Weiss case is and will be their focus. These suits aren't going away .

Nope. Michigan has gone through at least 3 different law firms fighting this. They have resisted every step of the way. This could have ended much sooner. They even went as far as to get every extension they could get.

I think someone knows something. That is the rumor. And all of a sudden after that rumor, Michigan has surged in recruiting and are now loaded in the 2026 class. I'm pretty sure they are now in the top 10 or near it. They landed about seven or more 4/5 stars just this week. People know the Michigan punishment. And it sounds like the cat is out of the bag and Michigan will get maybe a slap on the wrist. Go Blue!

This whole time you have chastised people for speculating and now you are doing it yourself...
