I thought that Warde Manuel made some interesting comments in an interview with Sam Webb this week. Not a direct quote, but said something along the lines of we’ll fight justified battles, but as a member of an organization (NCAA) we need to abide by established rules and expectations.

He had a very different tone that what was being pumped out of Ann Arbor last year, and IMO he sounded a lot like he won’t be falling on the sword to protect others…whether individual coaches or the football program at large.

I don’t know about that. The expectations for a low level violation such as this sin’t much. Michigan will expect fair treatment.

That interview must of been recorded live. No way Scam Webb allows anything slightly negative about His beloved SCUM football team

Also find it fascinating that (as uncovered by USA Today) that as of a couple weeks ago Sherrone Moore and the entire current staff sans the DC were still working under MOUs and didn’t actually have contracts. There’s nothing odd about operating under MOUs, but having them for months on end, especially for the head coach, is strange.

The MOU to the initial agreement Moore was hired under ended about 4 months ago. They are far beyond what would be a reasonable time frame to have completed the official contract, and again, paints a picture that the school wants an easy out in the event of an unfavorable ruling. Sherrone Moore is essentially an at-will employee at the moment and could be axed abruptly without any buyout compensation.

I feel somewhat sorry for him … he is being set up to take the fall for this … they are not going to be as good as they have been, they will lose to OSU, and they are going to get sanctioned … he will take the blame because Jimmy took his football and ran to the NFL … knowing all well & good what happened and what was going to happen.

I don't feel sorry for him. He was part of the cheating scandal. He knew what they were doing was wrong and he knows perfectly well what he is getting into by taking the head coaching job. He is asking to get his head chopped off🤷‍♂️

Moore knew exactly what was going on. He gets no sympathy

He’s getting set up to take the fall, if needed IMO. They can axe him to make it look like they did something re: SignGate and weasel out of compensating him to throw money at a replacement.

7-8 months is a long time to be working through allegedly finalizing a contract, and the only “things that have popped up” are any repercussions that may be coming from the NCAA.
