Coach Don Thorp became the first coach in Ohio high school history to achieve 1,000 wins in a single sport. The closest baseball coach near him is still under 800 wins in Ohio. His overall record is 1,000 wins 328 losses and 3 ties. In his 48th season; he has amassed 3 state titles 1993,94, and 2005, six state semifinal appearances. 26 league titles across three leagues (Licking County League, Mid State, and Buckeye Athletic Conference) and 14 district championships.
