I was checking out the local schedules and saw two good tournaments.

Moeller super duals- Wadsworth, Moeller, Springboro, Elyria, Fairfield, Mason, Father Ryan (tn), Stafford, Liberty, Trinity and St. X.

This is a meat grinder of a tournament!

Fun match-ups to watch- Wadsworth vs. Moeller, and Fairfield vs. Father Ryan

Then Looked at Moellers JH schedule.

Reading Duals- ECCW(Moeller), WCW (Elder, Ryle ky feeder team, Elyria, Mason, Reading, and I don't remember the other two.

I would like to see the Eccw and Mason Dual that day.

Wow! I know about the Ohio teams and just found out that Father Ryan is Tennessee state champs. Any other info on out of town teams? What a great tune up for Ironman. I believe Wadsworth, Moeller, and a partial Elyria team are heading to Walsh the following week.

Why is St. X at this? I don't see this helping their program. Father Ryan looks really tough! That Dual tournament looks tough as sh--!!!!! The Jh dual meet looks like one of the toughest Jh tournament in the city.

Do you know which teams are wrestling each other in these tournys?

Kolodsick ,Marinelli,Myers ,Meyer,Svarda ,Jones, just a few of ECCWs jr high kids they should have another strong showing this year.

I think so i have seen them there, but who knows a lot of top tier kids pick and choose who and when they wrestle .Either way ECCW has some good kids maybe not the depth as last year but certainly loaded between 140 -185 or so and they will have some state champs this year again .

Trinity high school won the kentucky state championship. Louisville St.X (not cincinnati) placed 9th at the state tournament. I couldnt find anything on Stafford, Va

Do you know which teams are wrestling each other in these tournys?

Mat 1(Pool A): Springboro vs. Lousiville, St. X; Wadsworth vs. Louisville St. X; Wadsworth vs. Springboro
Mat 2 (Pool B): Westerville N vs. Stafford; Moeller vs. Stafford; Moeller vs. Westerville N
Mat 3 (Pool C): Fairfield vs. Liberty; Father Ryan vs. Liberty; Father Ryan vs. Fairfield
Mat 4 (Pool D): Mason vs. Trinity; Elyria vs. Trinity; Elyria vs. Mason

Winner of Pool A wrestles the winner of Pool D. Winner of Pool B duals the winner of Pool C. Then the others are paired up, second place of pool A wrestles second place of pool D and so on. There are 6 rounds of wrestling.

So...Im expecting Wadsworth to wrestle Mason or Trinity in the semi's while Moeller will probably wrestle Father Ryan.

Then most likely Wadsworth and Moeller in the finals.

Didnt see a whole lot of lakota kids but there are a couple not the numbers that were speculated,As for being assembled this years team has a much higher percentage of those who have been in their program for numerous years than some of the teams in the past ,not that it matters or is even anyones buisness but the wrestlers and their parents.
As for anyone beating them its hard to say they would certainly rack up a lot of points in a major tournament type setting very comparable to the high school team there in that aspect as for duals it should be interesting and the Philo tournament should be fun and a big test for them as well as all the Ohio teams.I think they have a few kids who would actually do very well in high school already and will do even better when they get there .

ib6ub9, thanks for the positive contribution to the thread. This is an excellent tournament. Only the 2nd year and look how it has developed in quality!!! throwya, it's jr high for cryin out loud. How many ECCW boys "use" the program and then leave for another school come high school? Lou Carraher, John Gallagher, etc.......... Give the program props. Much respect and credit goes to all those involved in the operation of any club. It is done for love of the sport, not money. Give these guys props. I am very much looking forward to this. Moeller runs a nice sectional tournament and I expect this to run well also.

I know this is on Sat at Mo - but what time will this all start? 1:00?

Anybody with details?

thanks

Crusaders are set to open on December 4th at home: “Moeller Super Duals”

Starts at 8:30am and will include 6 rounds, with the finals scheduled for around 5pm.

Wenger Wadsworth certified at 145 will wrestle 152 like he did all last year. Hopefully Brandenburg is healthy to wrestle 160. Wadsworths unranked freshman 103 should make noise in this tourny. Hasn't wrestled the last 2 years and looked very good at Padua preview same goes for their senior heavy Crowley who was hurt last year and behind Tavs and Buzzelli the 2 years prior to that. Gordon their 130-135 is also hurt and more than likely will not wrestle. Good luck to all.
