the falcons lost their opener 0-6 to walsh
early mistakes let them jump to a 4-0 lead early but the girls played tough and looked as if they got more comfortable throughout the game and cut out the errors.
walsh will compete for another state title this year no doubt. they were excellent.

Why only one game with Hubbard,I thought it was a DH?
You have to love the local press,the Trib says that Berdis was the losing pitcher,but Vindy states Soriano and Roche combining on a six hitter,even though the writeup says Hubbard pounded out 11 hits.Can anyone set me straight on any of this?

hubbard only had 6 hits...again the falcons had too many errors to win. little things are hurting us but we will get better and be competitive this year. there was only 1 game because thats what was originally scheduled. the website for fitch softball this year is www.fitchfalcons.com
