Biden had signed an executive order removing tariffs on Chinese solar products imported from other Asian countries. Nine Senate Democrats joined 47 Republicans in voting to reinstate those tariffs. That list included swing-state Democrats from Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, both senators from Pennsylvania, and even Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), none of whom could ever be accused of conservatism.

Biden doesn't care. He and the Democratic Party’s climate cult have hitched their wagon to China, regardless of the country’s predatory trade practices and use of slave labor. All that matters is that the green energy industry can get its Chinese goods for cheap so that we can pretend to fight climate change even as increased Chinese coal use undermines whatever emissions reductions the rest of the world achieves.

Biden's urge to placate China on this issue should hang over every comment Biden and his team make about climate change. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm praised China’s “progress” on climate change earlier this year, and Biden’s climate envoy, John Kerry, has said that human rights concerns with the CCP should take a backseat to climate cooperation, even though China is actively engaged in slavery and genocide.

On Thursday, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed new rules that would require coal- and gas-fired power plants to achieve significant decreases in carbon emissions within the next two decades. According to Politico, plants would be required to lower their carbon output by "90 percent between 2035 and 2040—or shut down."

Citing authorities granted under the Clean Air Act, the agency said in a statement that "the proposed limits and guidelines would require ambitious reductions in carbon pollution based on proven and cost-effective control technologies that can be applied directly to power plants." Key among those technologies are "carbon capture and storage (CCS) and clean hydrogen."(excerpt)

Bloomberg News Celebrates Deadly South Africa Blackouts Because They Slashed Carbon Emissions​

Bloomberg News praised South Africa for inadvertently meeting its “climate goals” thanks to regular coal plant breakdowns causing widespread blackouts.

In its bizarre Monday headline, “South Africa Beats Climate Goal as Blackouts Slash Emissions,” Bloomberg News lauded the energy cuts because now South Africa is “ahead of its target for cutting emissions of greenhouse gases.”

“Output of the climate-warming gases from the world’s 14th-biggest emitter is already falling even though its Nationally Determined Contribution, a target adopted by the cabinet in 2021, only forecast a decline from 2025.”

The outlet appeared delighted to describe how South Africa achieved these arbitrary climate goals thanks to the rolling blackouts, also called “loadshedding.”

“Regular breakdowns of the coal-fired power plants that supply more than 80% of South Africa’s electricity mean that less carbon dioxide is being pumped into the atmosphere and daily rotational cuts of more than 10 hours a day are further limiting emissions from factories,” the outlet reported.
 
Evidence of natural climate change: the climate warms & sea levels climb and then the climate cools and sea levels fall. The current "global warming" is a case of been there done that.

The evidence-free assertion of man-made "climate change" is easily disproven without resorting to a shred of Heisenbergian data. Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant (no matter what the man-made Environmental Protection Agency says) -- unless, that is, you subscribe to the Leftist Suicide Cult theory that mankind itself is a pollutant. If you do, then there's no help for you; seek psychiatric help.

Further proof is provided by actual climate history, whose only constant state is one of continual change. In case you doubt that, pay a visit to any important art museum with a large landscape collection. Finally, look at the calendar, walk outside, note how the weather is pretty much exactly what you would expect in your region for this time of year and ask yourself: do I really believe we have only a few years to save the planet? Of course you don't. The planet is doing just fine.

I skimmed through this video back in May and remain unconvinced that anything they're saying supports these events being outside natural variation. BTW have you watched any of this video or are you just posting something your alarmist sites are calling "science"?

And for the record real science presentations don't call out the salary of a scientist who holds an opposing view in a weak attempt to suggest that the scientist is being bribed. This is exactly what Professor Rahmstorf does to Bjorn Lomborg. Frankly it was deeply unprofessional.
