Glenville or Ginn Academy?

Nobody really believes that all of those families moved to GLENVILLE for a year or two simply so their children could play D4 football at Ginn Academy. lol
I was talking about what I quoted, your self-defense of you. ;) You defended you're not his friend but let slide he said that you're a "joke." Hence, not a ringing self-defense. I's just making a jab, not taking a side.

That's because they've all moved into the Glenville attendance zone, completed the OHSAA affidavit, and received approval from OHSAA.
So 13 families uprooted their lives, changed their addresses on their drivers licenses, and switched all their utilities just to go to a school that ranks in the bottom 10% of Ohio public schools. That makes a lot of sense.

Makes sense to me. Any responsible parents would do that for their kids.

Why don’t you look it up? I did and it took all of 1 min.

Well thanks for having me look it up. That’s for open enrollment. Which Glenville has a zero open enrollment. So that’s not their district. Glad you proved you know nothing. When you move into Glenville open enrollment district. You must move into the Glenville school district. Not the open enrollment zone. You still have to sit for open enrollment after 9th grade. Let’s say you want to go to Glenville but live in westlake. And you move into collinwood district. And open enroll to Glenville. You must sit do to transfer rules.
Funny you think you’re some genius on Glenville school district and transfer rules. Just another key board warrior , thats bias , doesn’t deal in facts just opinions.

I hope Glenville gets bumped up to D3 so they can win the championship there and make all the jealous losers cry some more. That would be great

Calling ppl biased keyboard warriors that dont deal in facts when you go from thread to thread trying to disparage an inner city school doing better than your alma mater Only on yappi 🤣

I hope they get bumped up as well, and still win it.
But D-2 is more in line where they should be. Because
I love competitive games. Not hand picked teams from pop Warner threw highschool. Playing with running clocks to embarrass other schools. Who have done nothing but take kids from their own district and play their butts off to get their. Only to be humiliated in playoffs.

I’m not trying to disparage anyone or any team.
I think Glenville is great , great for the city and great for the kids. I’m looking for them to move up a division or two. That’s all. I’m sure Ginn wants it as well. He doesn’t want running clocks throughout senate games and playoffs for the next 4 years. He wants great physical games. You should want that!
I’m dealing in facts, facts are Glenville has a zero ! CB number if they get that up. They can move up.
D-3 game Glenville should and probably would win. Maybe a few less running clocks. But at least near championship more competition games.
And D-2 would be great as well.
It’s not the world vs Glenville. Glenville is great,
It’s about safety and competitive football.
Figure a way to get them up a division or two.
That’s all!
Go Glenville, exciting team, great uniforms great kids! The kids want to move up as well and that’s a fact!

And I agree with most of that... sh- ive SAID most of that, ad nasuem to be exact lol. However and Ive also said this a million times they do not control what Division they play football in and there is certainly not some master plan to stay in D4 just to rack up state championships. Objectively speaking, thats not the mission of the program.

I will say that I was a huge opponent of the GHS divisional assignment. Go back and read some of my posts related to this like topic , even last year, I provided data of the school district population decline, relative comparison to male/female enrollment based on city population decline. I looked at enrollment data of Ginn Academy compared to Glenville enrollment and their respective upticks and declines of enrollment. I calculated count backs and CB data and no where could I find Glenville should be a DIV school. I even looked at the Ginn Academy homepage and commented on how they boasted a Glenville state title, banners and all, without a shout out to other athletics or academic achievements. Ginnville Academy stated not only being open enrollment for the Cleveland area but anyone in the state. I even had a mother on this site say all the kids playing for Glenville are Ginn Academy students. I was probably one of the first to call Glenville, Ginnville.

Then I really started to read and trying to understand the Glenville poster perspectives. I have to agree with some of the GHS posters, this is not in their swim lane to justify the divisional assignments, there are appointed OHSAA officials that do that. What does Coach Ginn have to achieve by having state titles? His work within the schools system is enough said and nothing on the football field will compare to what he offers in a schooling system. Glenville is DIV and it should be let go in this and any other arguments.

One of the things I been wondering about is how they conduct the Glenville enrollment count and the add backs. People wonder how many from GA play at Glenville. To me the add back contributes to muddying the picture. There is a process for non enrolled students to be counted via CB. There really should be an enrollment count of kids actually at Glenville. The non enrolled kids at GA should be a +1 CB if in the attendance zone and a +2 if outside and receiving a waiver.
I'm also of the opinion that all transfers regardless of where they live should be a + 1 CB. If you go from public to private I think you are always at least + 1. Should be the same for publics.
It seems like OHSAA pretty much green lights transfer eligibility, so maybe its time they quit worrying about it and just let kids play where they go to school. I know there are public to private transfers sitting out the second half the season. I dont personally know of any public to public or private to public sitting out half. The transfer bug is here to stay so just let them all play.
I dont know if a CB change to at least +1 for every transfer would have an effect. It won't at the big D1 and 2. It may limit the amount other divisions are willing to take if it risks moving them up. I certainly have heard of coaches watching and maybe even trying to influence enrollment to remain in certainly divisions. If there is any truth to that I don't know.
