Don’t really know about the tuba or formations . Have more than one kid . Well known that I don have one that played football. Mavy football parents I have known and know now don’t know much about football and never played it . You have no idea who I am and if I’m angry . I’m not . The truth isn’t angry . I have nothing against Stokes . I think it ridiculous though that he would be considered by anyone to be the best coach they have had . Talent or less talent . He got blown out far too often against just decent to pretty good teams . He did a good job and a very good job at times . Consistency wasn’t there though and that’s why he isn’t or should t be thought of as the best coach at Coffman . Most energetic personality ? Yes . Best coach ? No. Part of this is the staff overall . Crabtree has better overall staffs top to bottom . This isn’t even an argument that anyone who knows anything would make

Geron Stokes thread was one that was going to last? A guy not even coaching this year? Agreement is never needed. EVER. Being a phony lying troll is going to be noticed and proved. Enable what liar? I did a little research and come up with the following.

Stokes was 64-25 at minster in 8 seasons, (not including covid) and minster was 40-49 the prior 8 seasons to him going there.
29-20 since he left. (22,23,24 seasons)

2013 - 6-4
2014 - 12-3 State Champ
2015 - 10-3 Lost to State Champs
2016 - 10-5 State Runner Up
2017 - 11-4 State Champ
2018 - 8-4 Lost 3rd round of playoffs
2019 - 9-2 Lost to State Champ
2020 - Covid year

Coffman
2021 3-7 with a playoff win over Wayne
2022 7-4
2023 10-4 Lost to state runner up by a TD
2024 4-9 3rd round of playoffs



I get it if you don't like how the guy coached. Your post threw me off though a little bit just from the standpoint of bashing a guy that delivered you 2 state titles. There are schools that would sell off half the school to get a title in football. And this guy delivered 2. Just trying to make it make sense seeing how no one before him delivered recently and no one after him has delivered that title.

There were two coaches in Minster the 8 years prior to Stokes. The last three years with Moore, the program was 7-6(2010), 9-4(2011) and 9-3(2012). I am not saying Stokes is a good or a bad coach but he did walk into a program that turned the corner and was competing at a high level.

this is thinking that football coach is an ancillary job while being a teacher (or some other job at the school) is their "real" job. in lots of cases, being a coach is their real job and they're a teacher because they have to be.

The teaching salary is about what I expected. Coaching is higher than I thought it'd be, but that's also at a premier program in the state. 90%+ of head coaches in Ohio aren't making that much

You kinda answered an issue. You don't coach high school football for money. Imo... You do it for other reasons. Egos are the flavor with many. Look within when you don't succeed. You can know the game but need to grow in other areas. Some flaws may keep you from getting another job.

that 22,685 was a big increase from what he was paid at Minster
