GCL Schools beside X

What do you all think of the other GCL schools besides X (Lasalle, Elder, Moeller).

I heard their are some good freshmen coming in for Lasalle unlike prevoius years so they may make a run in the next 3 years to at least challenge X to some degree.

um, moeller sucks. Havent played any of the others but they are probably not much better. St. X is the only really good GCL team.
 
Lasalle has two tournament players coming in they are josh moellman and alex breen. Both are good players but not great. Lasalle will never ever ever challenge the tennis factory of St.X. but in two years they will be a top 5 divsion one team in cincy because those kids will be juniors and they pick up another kid in 08 that is an average tournament player. THEY ALWAYS STRUGGLE WITH DEPTH so they"re doubles teams will be average at best

dont agree at all. i know both of those kids and breen is horrible. lasalle will never be top 5 in the city.
 
There are levels of players

Elite, great,good,avg, below avg and suck. Kids that are ranked in the top 25 in the city in they're age groups would qualify as good they are both ranked in that area. Both have qualified to the districts out of the cincy qualifier. Maybe your not the best judge. (I am Will knoll ) i think one of them is ranked higher than you in they're age group?
 
if you honestly want to start with the ranking system go ahead sir. as most credible tennis player knows the system is messed up. it doesnt base on wins it bases on who plays the most tourneys. i dont play in tourneys as much as i should but dont base how good i am on a tourney. and i dont believe i said i was good.

Then don't say people are horrible. You are actually ranked 5 measly spots ahead of Breen in your respective age group. You must be slightly better than horrible.

How will the other GCL's ( St. X is in a league of their own) finish??

who are you to say who is good and bad. if you knew tennis then you know lasalle is not a dominant force nor an average team. and the last i checked people who get to state arent slightly above horrible, but i am sure you know that since you play tennis.
 
why do you say lasalle is not at least an average team this year, when they 2-3 kids that can give a great boost to the team that might get some "respect" from other teams. By the way, what makes your team (Turpin) so "fabulous" and not Lasalles.
 
i never said turpin was so great. but we are better than lasalle i guarentee that. we actually have kids that are some what respectable. turpin has been ranked in the top five of the city consistently. we will have down year this year because we graduated four people. i dont think lasalle will be bad, but they are not going to be a team that will win something respectable. and if you think alex breen is a boost to your program then i have to laugh.
 
Ok here's the straight dope on this whole thread. Turpin is a decent team. LaSalle will not be as good as Turpin. Will Knoll is a decent player who got to state with someone way better than him. Lasalle will struggle in the gcl but probably finish third behind moeller. I qualified for state every year i played high school tennis, played college tennis, am better now as a player than i ever was then, and would smoke you, will knoll, every day of your life and then when im dead it would still be close. Anything else?
 
you know will knoll, i am sick and tired you sayin this stuff at breen. why isn't he a boost? have you even seen him play? have you even played him and is so what were the scores? If you still think that way, what about moellman, is he not a boost either
 
yes i did back like two years ago and it was i believe 61 61. yes i think moellman is good but it will be a couple of years before he gets really good, he is more of a boost than breen.
 
i dont believe i ever said i would beat you but i bet you feel god that you can beat a high schooler. i would like to play just because i am always looking for a match, i am sure you would win but i would like to play. and i dont think conrad ludwig is some powerhouse that is so much better than me, he used to be in singles last year. he wasnt better in doubles than me last year i was telling him what to do if i remember. what hs did you go to coach
 
sir lancer i dont mean any disrespect to lasalle but saying they will challenge st x is completely wrong. but good luck i would like to see an upset but i would bet my life on it.
 
nicely said i am william knoll. I agree with you that we will probably not challenge x at all this year, but I bet that we both agree that we at least have a chance to become 2 in gcl. Do you think that lasalle could possibly challege x senior year with moellman and breen.

its not a good idea to pay attention to the rankings. look at my ranking. i'm probably the most overranked player in the midwest. the rankings are so inaccurate. it all depends on who plays more tournaments.
 
I totally agree with that because I know a couple people who play like a tournament once in a while and do pretty good, but do not get a good draw because their so called ranking isnt high enough.
 
Nope, didn't go to Northern Ky University. Taught a little out of college but not at colonial. Tennis is my life though and i'm very knowledgeable about all aspects of the game.

with just those two people no because st x will continually get players to come to their school.
 
no offense will knoll but i have seen you play and you will definately not be the top seed, but hopefully you do well init; i would like you to upset a couple of people.
