A couple of movie quote have been running through my mind these past few days and I thought I'd share.

48 Hours

Reggie: Jesus Christ. That's a disgrace. The guy pulls a gun on a cop and he's out in 24 hours. I tell you some of the courts these days are just a f’ing revolving door.

A Few Good Men

Col. Jessep: You want answers?

Kaffee: I think I'm entitled to.

Col. Jessep: You want answers?

Kaffee: I want the truth!

Col. Jessep: You can't handle the truth!

What are your favorite lines from the movies you watch? I look forward to reading your responses.

King Arthur: Who are you who can summon fire without flint or tinder?

Tim: There are some who call me... Tim

Principal: Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Billy: No I will not make out with you. Did ya hear that? this girl wants to make out with me in the middle of class. You got Chlorophyll Man up there talking about God knows what and all she can talk about is making out with me. I'm here to learn, everybody, not to make out with you. Go on with the chlorophyll.

Billy: It's too damn hot for a penguin to be just walkin' around here.

O'Doyle: O'Doyle Rules!

Dale Doback: Why are you so sweaty?
Brennan Huff: I was watching Cops.

Brennan Huff: Well I'm not going to, ever! Even if there's a fire!

Just watched Good Will Hunting...

Will: "I read your book last night."

Sean: "So you're the one. "

------------------------------

Sean: I just slid my ticket across the table, and I said, "Sorry, guys; I gotta see about a girl."

my two favorites from the Batman trilogy:

"You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

"It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you."

Brendan Huff... "Led Zeppelin is playing Moby Dick for real, Mf'er!"

William Munny... "Yeah, I've killed women and children. I've killed everything that walked or crawled at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill. For what you did to Ned."

"Deserves got nothing to do with it."

"She up and R-U-N-N-O-F-T."

"I'm gonna kill you, Judas Iscariot Hogwallop! You miserable, horse-eatin' son-of-a-!"

"We. Thought. You. Was. A. Toad."

One of my favorites...Samuel L. Jackson from "Jackie Brown"...
" AK-47...the best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every MF'uh in the room...accept no substitute.

From Love and Death (1975): Woody Allen as Boris; Diane Keaton as Sonja.

Sonja: Judgment of any system, or a priori relationship or phenomenon exists in an irrational, or metaphysical, or at least epistemological contradiction to an abstract empirical concept such as being, or to be, or to occur in the thing itself, or of the thing itself.
Boris: Yes, I've said that many times.

From Ben Hur (1959): Charlton Heston as Judah.

Judah Ben-Hur: [dipping a hand in a stream] When the Romans were marching me to the galleys, thirst had almost killed me. A man gave me water to drink, and I went on living. I should have done better if I'd poured it into the sand!
Balthasar: No.
Judah Ben-Hur: I'm thirsty still.

From Spartacus (1960): Charles Laughton as Gracchus; Peter Ustinov as Batiatus

Gracchus (to Batitatus at dinner): You and I have a tendency towards corpulence. Corpulence makes a man reasonable, pleasant and phlegmatic. Have you noticed the nastiest of tyrants are invariably thin?
---
On escaping with Varinia and the baby:
Batiatus: Come with us. See to it I don't misuse the money.
Gracchus: Don't be ridiculous. I'm a Senator.

From The Last Emperor (1987): John Lone as Pu-Yi, speaking to a child docent while pointing to the throne in the Hall of Supreme Harmony.

Child: Who are you?
Pu-yi: I was the Emperor of China. That is where I used to sit.

From Leaving Las Vegas (1995): Nicolas Cage as Ben; Elisabeth Shue as Sera.

Sera: Don't you like me, Ben?
Ben: Sera... what you don't understand is - no, see, no. You can never, never ask me to stop drinking. Do you understand?
Sera: I do. I really do.

Bar patron . . "You killed an unarmed man" !
