despicable me what GIF

I mean I know I am a ML homer and all, but you can't be taken seriously if you don't vote them number 1 right now. 51 straight wins, 3 state championships in a row and arguably have not had a close game in years scant a couple against D3 Wapak, D6 Kirtland who also wins state titles in mass and against Minster who received zero first place votes.

This MARIOn local team is 3-0, just like GROVE and HILlsdale.

NOT 51-0

Come on Voice, even you know that this version of the "St14ners" is more battle hardened than 3-0 Grove and this 3-0 Hillsdale. I mean who is Hillsdale? I thought that was a Conservative Christian College up in Xichigan.

I mean back in 2021 I remember watching Columbus Grove giving all they got against them. Being 7-0 still with about 14 mins to go in the game and obviously Marion local pulled away with a win. But Columbus Grove gave them a game that no one expected. Except the Columbus Grove faithful. Maybe it will be a good match up. If the opportunity presents itself

Those backers that Grove had on that team were baaaaad men.

Marion Local is and should be #1. No one will touch them this year in DVII. You could make that argument down to DIV in my opinion.
Can you imagine a St14ner and Kirtland State Final? That would be the best game of the Championship weekend.
D5 and down those are the two top teams, by far.
Ive been away from the D4 level too long to properly assess how well those two teams would do but those 2 are the 6 and 7 champions no doubt.

That was 2022 but yes Grove wasn't giving an inch. Marion's tackling machine, Meier was not playing defense due to an injury. He returned for the Kirtland game. May not have beaten Kirtland without him.

I believe our current MLB Heitkamp was Meier's replacement for that game too, so there's definitely carryover from prior seasons.

Yes it was 2022. My bad. 🤦 but yeah. That Kirkland and Marion local final was a good one to watch.

I think we’ve had a few good games recently.. 3 of 5 games decided by a total of 4 points since 2020

Both teams made a lot of bone-headed mistakes that game, and that was the only ML game I've ever watched that I questioned their offensive play-calling
Really? Good defenses make good offense look bad and as state said it was quite windy.

Edit: Goodwin and LaVerde teams make mistakes but not too many bone headed mistakes esp. in a state championship game and that was a somewhat sr. dominated ML team, bone headed mistakes very very few.

First AP Poll:

DIVISION VII

2. Columbus Grove, 3-0, 95
3. New Bremen, 3-0, 85
4. Minster, 3-0, 73
5. Malvern, 3-0, 48
6. Arlington, 3-0, 30
7. Monroeville, 3-0, 28
8. Edon, 3-0, 24

Others receiving 12 or more points: McComb 18. Warren John F. Kennedy 17. Danville 16. Jeromesville Hillsdale 15. Berlin Center Western Reserve 12. Gibsonburg 12.

Although they're only 1-2, St. Henry might deserve to be in the top 10. They played fairly well for much of their week 3 contest against Marion Local.
