From the film I have seen the closest would be 17 from Edison, he was a strong back with a good burst, but I think Kinsey is much better.
Padua's RB put up 1,800+ yards this year in the regular season, and despite sitting out games against Sandusky and Holy Name, he's the top rusher Perkins faced. Faster and shifty scat back more so than Kinsey (and Perkins' Bunts) who are bigger and stronger.

Can't argue with a guy who puts up 3,000 yards but considering Perkins was able to hold Padua's well under 100 yards when a team as good as Benedictine allowed him to run for 250, I think Perkins will be able to contain Kinsey.

No glee in saying that. I had to listen to the Perkins coaches belittle and taunt Padua from the home stands all game and learned why first-class Glenville and Mr. Ginn have such disdain for Perkins. Hope Perkins is never invited to return to Padua. Don't know a soul in Gnadenhutten but rooting for the upset.

tough. but maybe that oline is tougher. not enough credit.anyone that runs the ball for them gets good yardage.18 , 25 , 8 ,22. they all run well.behind that line.
The o-line is impressive. Example was the St.C game. IV’s o-line was way smaller than a majority of the St.C defense, which is a defense their fans tout as very “physical.” Wasn’t the case that night as Indian Valley absolutely bullied them. Smaller, quicker, tougher and wanted it more.

Yes, I would agree the O-line is phenomenal. That combined with Kinsey's burst and ability to absolutely level anyone in his way is a beautiful combination. They play for each other and it shows.

Observation from a neutral party reading through this thread on the tone going into this game . . .

Neutral opinion:

I feel Perkins is more complete than Taft, while Taft has some absolute studs, I think Perkins has way more overall talent (better running back & front 7 mainly), which I think gives them the win by 10. Perkins was the only team in the playoffs who gave Glenville a run for their money last year, and Glenville was way better last year (they went to IMG to play a game, and SCORED a meaningful touchdown), and they still have the meaningful players from the 2023 game. WR Braylon Collier has a Sportcenter Top 10 highlight every week it feel like 😂, excited to watch this game in person.

While Indian Valley haven't played the best of comp, Grady Kinsey's skill shouldn't be undersold. He will rack up 10 D1 offers by the end of his HS career (already has one from Toledo, when he hits camps this summer he will earn them and probably some more next season assuming he stays healthy). Taft had IV beat, GK took the ball a majority of the touches in the second half and they won, he is a game changer.

Can’t believe folks out there think Perkins plays a tough schedule.

Not saying they won’t win but film don’t lie yearly.
Perkins has played 6 teams this year that not only made the playoffs but did well once in the playoffs. Best ever, no, but to say their schedule was middle of the pack for D4 I would disagree with.

You could say that IV had more wins over bad teams than Perkins, but Perkins surely had their fair share of wins over bad teams.
Taft had IV beat.
Taft DIDN'T SCORE in the 2nd Half. Taft led 20-15 at half, 21-20 IV after 3, and 29-20 IV was the final.

IV beat 3 teams that had each won 2 playoff games: Dover, Garaway, and Ridgewood. Perkins beat 2 teams that had won more than 1 playoff game: Padua 3 and Harvest Prep 2. I believe his point was that people are talking like Perkins plays a D1 schedule while IV plays a D7 schedule. Perkins plays a solid D4 schedule, and IV plays a solid D5 schedule.

Pauda, Harvest Prep, and Edison for Perkins who won more than 2 playoff games. The more I look at opponents, and playoffs, IMO both regular season and playoffs go to Perkins without a doubt.
