It’s just a bad look, I get it when you’re #1 there is a target on your back, but the problem is Perkins isn’t #1. They are number #2. Maybe the best in their area, but the test of time has shown the SBC has always went through eras of one school dominating the rest, or 1-3 teams dominating the rest.

Some folks south of Perkins Ave., got drunk on the success and forgot history. Perkins has a great run going, but eventually that fire will extinguish, and they will be back in the mix of everyone else.

I would honestly love to see who these Perkins folks are that came on here acting like Perkins were touched by the gods, my guess is over zealous dads, teenagers, or worse coaches.

I love your optimism in regards to the administration reigning in Jalen's antics, but based on the comments from the news article on Facbook, it seems like Perkins residents and parents actually support the bus incident and the assistants coming on here and talking, which is insanely sad.

Oh I’m fully loaded on the life boat of “swept under the rug after a stern talking to.” I’m appalled by the actions and honestly anyone that supporter it should watch the video, and if they still support that, accept being most hated in Ohio and embrace it with a warm hug.

I’ll be honest, if my son participated in an antic like that, he wouldn’t play the following week, state title or not. It’s beyond classless, regardless of history. In one action you have turned Perkins into a laughing stock and hated program, very poor look. What’s next buying booze for seniors?!?!?
 
I just love how Perkins blames Bellevue for offering their facilities to Glenville - like they’re betraying the SBC.

I’ve got news for you, they may not have gone through with it, but every other school in that league would have wanted to do the same thing for Glenville if they had been asked. The narcissism it takes to believe any of those bridges aren’t in ashes is the funniest part. I mean 3-4 years ago Bellevue was the most hated team in the area and now every one is siding with them lol.

Not from you. But there has been alot more talk from lower divisions about how well they'd do in D4 than there would be had Perkins or Glenville won out. As you know I was one of the few who saw this game as a pickem. IV's stretch run included wins over 5 teams w/ a minimum of 11 wins and they averaged 40 pts against them. That's called playing the hot hand. Plus I had a feeling Perkins would be overconfident.

You nailed Perkins coming in overconfident. The fact that Kinsey is a Jr. and the QB is only a Soph is VERY impressive.

Absolutely prepared. Same non-conf as last season except we swapped out UA for Massillon. That’s a HECKUVA opener, wonder if it will be a Thursday night game. Do you guys ever host on Thu night or stick to FNL (minus McK)?
 
Massillon has done Thursday games before but no reason to think this would be. Why is there another opener you want to watch?

No disrespect taken, but the principal, Jeff Harbal, is an assistant coach on staff. Considering there's photos of him walking off the bus when they arrived in Canton for the title game ... he obviously would have been on the team bus the week before. And I know for a fact he was!

The sad, yet to me hilarious truth is, it all might be true! People do dumb things when they win, but at what cost? Their job, or dignity. IMO Perkins is no longer any better than Bellevue for whatever wrongs were done in the past. You might be better on the field, but you’re just as childish and immature as they are.

Nah for real what was the end game?! You lose all moral high ground after this. There is no more "but they" You drove by folks house. Late at night. And said f them with kids on the bus....then lost the championship. Whew
