Yeah, the divisional assignments in 2025 are going to be very interesting. IV kinda came out of "nowhere" and will have to replace some of their line, but majority of the names you heard called in that title game are back. Considering how they played like grown men this year . . . yikes.

Will have to see if it's different with a target on their backs.

Who does IV open with? ML has an opening week 1. That would be a great matchup. Supposedly an Ironton v. ML game is being considered which would be great also but we'll see. IV will be very good next year but Glenville, as good as they have been, are just now entering a 2-3 yr supercycle believe it or not. In any case D4 surpassed everyone's expectations this year and was crazy entertaining. 👏

We should probably mention Perkins is in the 44870 area code and use “Sandusky” in their mailing address, but they are an entirely different community than the actual city of Sandusky. To me it’s Perkins Township and they are vastly different.

I’m very surprised at the (+) comments made about the trip made after the Glenville game. I’m actually shocked, regardless of what Bellevue did for Glenville.

Bad blood, falling out, hurt feelings aside this has to be one of the DUMBEST things I’ve seen in a long time.

I’m sorry but if you’re from the Perkins community and condone this kind of behavior, we will have to agree to disagree because that was not only moronic, but gave Perkins an image of being classless show boats that “almost got it done.”

This image won’t just affect football, but every sport out there where you see the black and white Pirates, my take is this is a very bad look, and will carry on for sometime.

"How should we celebrate maybe the greatest win in school history?"

"I know! Let’s do something so stupid it will surely come up during the next school board meeting."

I know I’m an old fart, but this is why when young guys get a job, it’s always good to have them add an “adult” to their staff.
Yes to all of this. And the "adult" to their staff? Try the high school principal. Who is an assistant coach and was on the bus letting this happen.

a. Bellevue put personal feelings above what is best for the SBC. To me, that is a big deal.
While I get what you're saying here, it should be also noted there are something like 17 or 18 schools under the SBC "umbrella" and Bellevue-Perkins are NOT league foes in football, and have only been league foes for 6 years or so in their programs' history. They have been playing off and on as non-league teams aside from 2017-22. But I get it, they share the same league in other sports. SBC Is weird.

I think I may recognize you as a former Perkins player from the early-mid 2000s? Either way, you're down the middle commentary from the start of this thread is to be commended, sir. Not everything has to be black and white (pun intended).

Well thank you and yes mid 2000’s 03-05 were the high school days. I try to be as unbiased as I can, but that doesn’t mean I won’t ever slant a bit towards the Pirates. When I see something I don’t like, I’m going to call it out and this performance is a prime example.

Very weird.

a. Bellevue tried to help Glenville beat Perkins. Bellevue put personal feelings above what is best for the SBC. To me, that is a big deal.

b. Driving by Ed's house seems pretty trivial. Better not do anything like that again though.
What’s best for the SBC is adults behaving like adults, no?

Reading other threads before AND after, Indian Valley couldn’t get enough respect and still can’t.
It's the T-County effect. Since the long gone JJHuddle days Tuscarawas County had the stigma of being paper tigers in the playoffs. I think we are seeing the lingering effects of that. Plus, everyone assumed if there were to be a team from the area to win it all, it would be Dover.

The dude and his staff are clearly classless and immature, but a 48-15 record, 3 conference titles, a regional runner up, region championship, and a state runner up in 5 years is objectively great success.
Winning, but not close to the right way. Perkins is the only school I now root against.

I agree 110%, problem I have is they compiled that at what cost? I know we are nothing more than a bunch of dads, old time players, fans, enthusiasts, and etc, but I doubt this cloud over Perkins is solely on our radar. Schools talk, administrations see this kind of stuff and have to be shaking their heads.

It’s just a bad look, I get it when you’re #1 there is a target on your back, but the problem is Perkins isn’t #1. They are number #2. Maybe the best in their area, but the test of time has shown the SBC has always went through eras of one school dominating the rest, or 1-3 teams dominating the rest.

Some folks south of Perkins Ave., got drunk on the success and forgot history. Perkins has a great run going, but eventually that fire will extinguish, and they will be back in the mix of everyone else.

I would honestly love to see who these Perkins folks are that came on here acting like Perkins were touched by the gods, my guess is over zealous dads, teenagers, or worse coaches.
