Div 1 Cincy/Dayton Brackets

Okay just had my first look at the brackets for the D1 tourney and interested in what others think. I am sure the OHSAA was thinking more trophies for everyone when they watered down the divisions but oh boy did they ever.

In Cincy the D1 tourney is the GMC and the 5 tag a longs. The combined record of those 15 teams as of now is 78-85-12. Dayton not much better and is the GWOC with only 6 teams at a combined 30-28-10. Worse yet three of those six have losing records. In Cincy its about the same with roughly 50% with losing records.

Tourney play begins with district semis with each district being 2 teams? Wonder if Columbus and Cleveland is just as weak, have not looked yet!

What is interesting this year is a D1 girls team from Dayton/Cincy can go to a Columbus regional.

I guess if the coaches coordinate (?) but as watered down as the SW appears to be would you want to risk matching up with one of the C'Bus top seeds.

Columbus is pretty watered down as well. Lots of schools, with talent spread across.
