Defense Sec Nominee, Pete Hegseth, Speaks Out on the Megyn Kelly Show

It comes down to literally everyone that Pete has worked closely with that are going on record to say these attacks are BS vs a few anonymous sources in articles written by leftists for leftist propaganda arms.

I'm going to think and pray on it, and then try to decide who I believe. Lol

They would not be anonymous if he let them out of their NDAs.

this is the same game plan that the demoRATS have used over and over.. and a few Rino's too... the H with them don't give a SHAT what the oneview says, or msnbc, CNN, or wapo, or the NYTIMES.... over the years they have proved what they are about... time to tell them to STHU .. and get out of the way.. they have done more to RUIN America in the last 4 years.... shut the pie hole, and know your ROLE!!!

Billionaires and sexual predators...GO MAGA

I know, right!!!.....these Big Orange Appointments are great, ain't they? Cept maybe Rubio, he's bout the only one you Leftys ain't making stuff up about. Big Orange might need to rescind Rubio's nomination. If the Leftists ain't crying and fabricating stories about a nominee, normal folks might need to be suspicious.

The Lefty's have got Christine Ballsy Ford warming up in the bullpen.....They're gonna Trot her out to drop a bomb on Pete, Kash, and even Tulsi. "They was all Baaaad, really, really Baaaad!"
so she was in HS with all them too... as long as she gets the rounds on the MsnbS and CNN and the ONEview show to push some type of book or product... she will play the game

I just saw the part of the Megan interview where he said that his life was an out of control disaster but now it’s all better because he found Jesus. LOL.

How about adding a little context:

“What you’re seeing right now with me, it is the classic art of the smear,” the younger Hegseth said on SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show”. “Take whatever tiny kernels of truth, and there are tiny, tiny ones in there, and blow them up into a masquerade of a narrative about somebody that I am definitely not.”

When Kelly asked him if he felt he was being “Kavanaugh’d,” referring to the smear tactics used during the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2018, Hegseth added: “I had a member, not 45 minutes ago, look me in the eye in private, just he and I, and say, ‘That’s what they’re trying to do to you … that’s their playbook, get ready for more, and they’re going to make it up, just like they have so far. All anonymous, all innuendo, all rumor, nothing sourced, no verification, and they’re just gonna keep doing it because you’re a threat to them.'”

During his interview with Kelly, Pete Hegseth said no one approached him with concern about his drinking, though he said that it is common for veterans who struggle upon their return stateside. Hegseth also acknowledged that he’s “a very different person than I was 10 years ago, than I was 15 years ago.”

And his mother clarified the situation around her email:

“I’m sure many of you across the country understand how difficult divorce is on a family. There’s emotions,” she said. “We say things, and I wrote that in haste. I wrote that with deep emotions. I wrote that as a parent, and about two hours later, my husband tells me I should think through things a little bit more, but Pete and I are both very passionate people. I wrote that out of love — about two hours later I retracted it with an apology email. But nobody’s seen that.”

It doesn't seem to be in the least bit unusual for a man returning to a civilian life after engaging in combat to embrace Jesus after a rough patch. That you would mock this speaks more about your failings then Hegseths.

BTW, it looks like the democrat smear tactics have gone to far and Hegseth is gaining support among those squish GOP Senators who had expressed concerns:

On Wednesday, Sen. John Thune (R-SD), the incoming Senate Majority Leader, voiced support for Hegseth, according to a Washington Examiner journalist.

“I think he articulates a good vision, a strong vision for the Department of Defense, which I think is in need of some modernization and reform,” he said. “He’s obviously an experienced veteran, combat veteran, so he brings a lot of experience about what the warfighters’ needs are and how to keep America ready for the potential battles of the future.”

Similarly, Sen. Roger Wicker (R-LA), who will helm the committee responsible for forwarding his nomination to the full Senate, also expressed support for him on Wednesday.

Wicker told an NBC News reporter, “I don’t see any obstacles that can’t be overcome,” and that Hegseth should not withdraw his nomination.

And Lindsey Graham had this to say:

I am not going to make ANY decision based on an anonymous source. If you’re not willing to raise your hand under oath… it doesn’t count.

Who did his mom send that email to?

Who did his mom send that email to?
She sent it to him evidently at a time when he was going through divorce.

Several years ago, Hegseth’s mother wrote him an email decrying his behavior amid his second divorce. The 2018 email, which the New York Times reported on last week, accused him of “dishonesty, sleeping around, betrayal, debasing, belittling,” and she said he needed to be “called out.”

Did Pete hire you to make excuses for him? Calling this a smear is laughable. Nothing that has come out about this sicko has been proven untrue. He has 7 kids by 3 wives and has cheated on every one of them. He admits to getting hammered at a work conference and picking up a chick while married to his current wife, coming all over her, kicking her out, denying he assaulted her, but paying her off if she signed an NDA. His own mother called him a serial abuser of women and is now sad about her voicing her opinion even though she has never denied he deserved the tag. Co-workers say he was hammered all the time at work related functions and had to be carried out. His response to these allegations is that he has never sought treatment for alcohol abuse and nobody has confronted him about his problem.

Smears. Lol. It's called the light of the sun.

Why was he going through a divorce? Maybe it was because of his reckless behavior?

Whatever you say Church Lady.

You're seriously slamming him because of a divorce 7 years ago? That's your shtick new?
No. I am slamming him about a long and sordid history and pattern of abuse (his mothers term), lying, cheating, reckless boozing, and poor decision making. If he was a Biden nominee, you would be comparing him to Hunter and you know it.
