Database Inquiry

Currently, all of my research is collated into spreadsheet format. If I were to change to a track & field database system so information could be transferred to others, what would be the recommendations of the community and why? Remember, I'd need a lot of flexibility in such a software given the sheer variability of information to be transferred.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

How much experience do you have with databases? If you don't have much database experience, most implementations of MySQL will be accessible to someone who does as much spreadsheet work as you.

ZERO experience. Thank you, I'll check it out. However, I was thinking more along the line of existing track & field related software to "create" meet results of the past and build a database that could be imported by others.

I don't know about existing TF meet software. But once you have the data in the database (a lot of that is just going to be importing your spreadsheets as CSV files) you can export it in almost any form you want. So maybe Athletic.net is a possibility.

Thank you for that feedback.
