D7 Region 27 2024

There’s an obvious answer, but I won’t say it because it also means the Cardinal would lose its best football program (currently speaking.)
Honestly, I never know why Miller left the TVC. I always thought it was dumb they went to a Central Ohio league. Maybe the competition was a big factor as the MSL generally isn't as good as the TVC in football.

I think the TVC made a mistake not letting Fort Frye into the conference. The Cadets would absolutely stand for what TVC football is all about.

My personal opinion is Crooksville needs to take a shot at joining the TVC. I don't think they are too competitive in the MVL across all sports honestly.

I think it boiled down to travel. Four teams in Fairfield County + Rosecrans >> going to Meigs County x2 and Fed Hock.

Agreed.

They always seemed like a hand-in-glove fit, but with no Miller in the fold it’s kind of a “why?” imo. I think they were always angling for some sort of future with the Cardinal schools, tbh

I think I still have a bone to pick with them for dropping us after 2021. That game should always be played.
Fort Frye would've likely pulled for the TVC Ohio if I had to imagine. I also think the TVC would entertain us going to the Ohio and moving RV down to the Hocking. Everyone in the Ohio would benefit more playing Trimble than RV. More competition to bring along with it.

Crooksville also did join the East district not too long ago iirc. I think one big thing for them not making the move is they are a charter to the MVL. I think them joining a conference for football only would benefit them more than anything.

Fun fact. Glouster was a charter member of the MVL. It was known as the Big Six until 1938. It'd be interesting to see where we are at right now if we was in the MVL still.

Us down here in Region 27 appreciate the state title. You'll sadly, hold Region 27 only state title for a while. As long as any MAC school is in D7.
What greater a gift it is for a high school football fan, than to bring honor and glory to his region for his region? To show that it is possible to fully appreciate, and know, the fabric of this big state’s marvelous high school football scene? That you don’t have to be from a legacy program, or a state powerhouse, or nestled in the backdrop of both in order to belong? To show that you do, indeed, know ball?

I… man. I’m happy for my friends IRL; handful of really good friends from high school that knew I was in it, to win it. Those who know me so well, that they get why I was so interested in winning the damn thing. They stood by me and encouraged me to keep pushing through. They know ball is my passion, and proving that I know it (among other things) is what gets me going.

That in many regards is why I call it a title for Region 27. The old Region 23 (today’s R27) is fertile ground, just like the rest of the state, to know Ohio HSFB writ large. Knowledge is powerful; having the heart to act on both knowledge and intuition is the key.

You know, I realized, when we aren't having a meeting of the minds somedays on this thread that we have some real ball knowers lurking around the boards.

I like to think I know ball. Maybe someday I'll know it as much as you do ;)

I don’t know how you guys do that pick’em tbh

Basically everything south of 70 and east of 23 has been so gray, Ironton notwithstanding.

Our meeting of the minds continues on the preps.

Now we are calling Wheelersburg a middle of the pack program. 🤦‍♂️

Ironton has only 5 more wins than Wheelersburg since 2000 if my math is correct. Ironton 222 to Burg's 217.

So, does that make Arnton a middle of the pack program too?

And yes, Ironton fans are 99% of the reason I can't stand them.
