I wouldn’t be surprised if the forum is permanently dead. I recall that there was a thread from the previous fall where there were serious allegations posted about criminal activity with minor victims on the other side of the river, so it may be that the new owners got served for subscriber information on that thread and counsel may have informed them that they were vulnerable for litigation.

(This thread was stowed away in a sub forum but was still somewhat active despite it being out of sight.)

The forum has been dead for years. That may have been the final blow to it, though.

I've heard two rumors on who it is...so I'll be interested in which source is correct.
