D5 Region 17

Ridgewood moved to this region this year from 19. No Tingle and they lost a lot of other pieces from the last few years, but still a fine program that could make some noise in the playoffs. Also one of the best small school coaching staffs in the state.

Looks like Norwayne duo might start to get some attention

I agree with Beachwood and Wickliffe at the bottom and Fairview near the bottom. And with South Range, Garaway, Garfield and Manchester on top. Orrville just isn't the consistent winner it once was.

No arguement with south range garaway and possibly Garfield … but why would anyone put Manchester over Norwayne ?just curious do people not really know who Norwayne is ?

Garfield lost everybody, last year was one of best teams in school history. This team will be well coached but way down in talent.
They Lost the 2 biggest linemen, QB, and tailback. But they are extremely tough on both sides. So I wouldn’t say they are out of any picture in terms of playoffs. Never forget when they were the 8 seed and went to the old South Range stadium in round 1 and beat a great program. Everyone needs an extra chin strap buckle versus those guys. Nothing but respect for Garfield.

2016 I think.
Yep, 2016 Garfield beat a 9-1 South Range team 31-21 in the last game at Memorial Stadium. The Raiders prepared all week for this pass happy team and the G-Men ran it down our throats. Bad combination of the G-Men being better than people gave them credit and the Raiders probably not taking the G-Men as serious as they should have.

I think it was a key driver for the great 2017 season.

It was unheard of to do that in South Range stadium. Look where those two programs are now. Still just as physical and doing it the right way. Hopefully we see these two meet in a playoff game somewhere close like Salem or Fitch.

Bobcat as I Garaway fan I completely know where your coming from, look fans on here did not take Garaway seriously thought SR would walk all over us. And credit to SR for a great game one of the best games I ever saw. Norwayne is going to go far I got a feeling but of course I have to hope my Pirates go all the way.
