Tipp and Wapak and McNic are very likely to remain unbeaten and at the top. Tipp does have a couple tough matchups against Butler and Xenia to end the year but i think they will pull it out. London also could remain unbeaten but those 2nd level points will really hurt them at the end of the year. I could see Bellbrook(loss to Alter), Bellefontaine(loss to London) and Miami Trace(loss to Jackson) all finishing 8-2
I don’t know that McNick is going to win out. GCL schedule is not easy CJ, Alter, Badin are toss up’s IMO. Second half of the schedule is arguably the most difficult in R12. Carroll also is undefeated at this time although they’ve played a very easy non conference schedule, they may win only one game after Week 5.

While I’m high on Batavia and it’s nice to see them here in contention, the rest of their schedule after week 5 except maybe two games are all toss ups, they will win probably 6-7 games, I think they make it in but probably in the latter half. Archbishop Carroll is going to fall off too once league play starts. They will finish with 5-6 wins as well probably and make it in the latter half. It’s hard to tell though who will jump up into the top 8

When a team has been found to have played Illegal players in the first 4 weeks will that affect points in region 12 come playoff seeding?

83-0? How is that even possible? Playback perhaps for Bethel Tate running up the score 2-3 years ago?

That’s my best guess. Batavia saw the opportunity and took it. They had to one up them literally. Bethel beat them 82-0 back in 2021 or 2022. So the came back and beat them 83-0 lol, these 2 schools are gonna start a war. I see their games being ugly these next upcoming years. But Batavia and Western Brown might need 3-4 scorekeepers next week. I expect a lot of points to be scored.

Ok I get that but don’t really like it. How did they get that many chances to score with a running clock? Did Batavia leave their 1s in the whole second half and throw the ball.
I saw BT in a passing scrimmage against McNick. They looked pretty bad but jeez..

I have no idea. I’m going to guess so. Looking at limited stats BT didn’t seem to have many turnovers. I think Batavia just kept their starters in and pounded them until the clock hit 0, i mean it was 55-0 at halftime. Yeah I don’t agree with it either or like it. Batavia should’ve just ran the clock out and got out of there with a W like bethel should’ve done back in 2021. It’s not a good look for Batavia. This would’ve been a great game to get your younger guys varsity reps and let your varsity guys get some rest, as Batavia has a good shot at winning 7-8 games and getting a possible home playoff game. Their 2nd half of the season is going to be much harder. Goshen is the only easy game left. Their games against WB, NR and Wilmington are all toss ups. Really should’ve rested your varsity players. Now I don’t want to be too critical as I wasn’t at the game, and I don’t know for certain what happened, maybe someone can chime in, but I don’t see Batavia JV team putting up 28 in the second half against BT…

Bethel hasn’t been good, but I was expecting them to at least put some points on the board. I was thinking this would be a similar game to their NR game earlier this year (a 20-30 point loss), not some 83-0 beat down.

If that happens ..they will still likely finish 5-5...but that means all 5 would be conference games,.especially in the league this yr...and conference games it's harder to stack those.points

I was at the game. B-T had chances, but once they got down a lot, they started making mistake after mistake. Batavia had starters in most of the way, but some back up were out there later. B-T got the beat down that they gave 3 years ago.

I was at the game. B-T made many mistakes once they got down a lot. Demoralized, but then they did the same to Batavia 3 years ago.

When Bethel Tate beat Batavia 82-0, Batavia's then head coach wouldn't punt and threw every down. BT had 5 pick 6s in that game and the last 3 were with their JV in the game. Last night Batavia kept their 1s in and were kicking onside up 60+ according to a couple people that were there. No surprise to me with Wayne Stacy at the helm.

B-T had more than their # of fair chances. They shot themselves in the foot many times. Sounds like you have a personal problem with Mr. Stacy.

Sounds like we have a couple of immature coaches. What a great example to set for a bunch of 14-18 yr old young men. That coach would be asked to step down at most high schools, certainly the one I follow. Petty BS.

I know the numbers are early and they will resolve themselves, but it's pretty wild seeing London at 5-0 and all the way down as the 11th seed. London is behind seven 4-1 teams and one 3-2 team. The first half of their season was against a currently combined 1-24. That is insanely bad. London has absolutely hammered them all, as they should. Very intrigued to see the second half of London's season, including the showdown with Bellefontaine this week. F50 has London favored to go 10-0 and be the fifth seed, so if they win the games in front of them they'll naturally rise up the points list. Just crazy to see an undefeated team so low on the list.

Yeah not a good situation. But this Batavia team is easily looking like their best one they’ve had In a long long time. Their current coach is safe. But if this happened at most other schools I’d see a harsh punishment incoming.

I mean the point calculation is no different than when 8 teams made the playoff. You had teams go 8-2 or 9-1 and not make it under the 8 team format. I can’t remember the year but I think Delphos Jefferson missed the playoffs at 10-0 when it was 8 team, can someone fact check that?

Winton woods in 2019 missed the 8 team playoffs after beating the Eventual D2 and D3 state champ and playing the D1 state runner up very close as well. 8 team playoffs made a lot of good teams miss the playoffs. I know wilmington went 8-2 in like 2014 and finished 14th In the region behind teams who were 6-4, 5-5.

Well it's different in that we're only halfway through the season and London has the beef of their schedule ahead of them. It'll resolve itself.

Man it's football if you don't wanna get beat that bad then stop em from scoring.

I don't have a problem at all. I used to be a head coach and have never lost to the man. He's a below average head coach that is lucky enough to have enough talent right now to make him look like he has a clue....I can assure you, he does not.

Miami trace has a really good shot at finishing 8-2 or 9-1. Their game with Jackson will show alot, but outside of that game the rest of their schedule is bad bad bad and bad. I see them moving up into the top 8. Also if Batavia can go 4-1 in league play they have a good chance to move up too. The region looks really solid this year!

You should've stayed at Blan.

After McNick beat CJ handily last night I think they have a real chance to win out in the GCL and go 9-1. According to Drew Pasteur projections that would give them a 2 or 3 seed in the playoffs and 2 home games. Alter, Badin in weeks 7 and 10 will both be tough outs.
